Your favourite Carlton Cole moment
As we try so far unsuccessfully to sign some of Europe's finest strikers I think it's worth pausing for a saguine moment to remember from where we have come.

He may not have been the best but we loved him all the same. I think my personal favourite was a non footballing moment. I think Wikipedia says it best:

'Cole was again charged by The Football Association in March 2015, when in response to a Tottenham fan taunting him on Twitter by asking whether he would consider retirement, he replied "Fuck off you cunt". After admitting the offence, he was fined £20,000.'

Worth 20 grand of anyone's money that.

The sheer generosity of the man for passing the ball to the Spurs keeper instead on putting it past him when clean through on goal. Now there's a sportsman!

His play off final goal v Blackpool was sweet, he always gave 100% even though that was not enough he surprised us occasionally with some great skills and a few brilliant goals too.

Re: Your favourite Carlton Cole moment
Play off final was typical scored s cracking goal and then set up their equaliser similar to the game at home against Tottenham

Re: Your favourite Carlton Cole moment
To be fair was never supposed to be a first choice striker but due to our cursed luck with forwards found himself there. So I'll give him some slack.

The goal in the cup against Birmingham was a cracker

Not sure which game it was, but where there was snow around the edges of the pitch and he went arse over tit.

Rossal

No way. His goal in the fa cup against burnley was far better

Noble plays it over the top, Cole (who was offside) takes an atrocious second touch, falls over the keeper, handballs and sort of scuffs his foot at the ball poking it through the defenders legs and in. I listened to the commentary on five live and remember them saying that they never seen a player deserve to score a goal less!

Then, minutes later, another ball over the top, perfect control and a perfect looped finish into the top corner over the oncoming keeper.

Summed Cole up perfectly that

Re: Your favourite Carlton Cole moment
Best moment...

I always think of the Carling Cup Semi against Birmingham at home when after a fine move the ball found Carlton. He turned himself in knots then as hitting the ball fell over and the ball trickled through the keepers legs and into the net

We'd scored with probably the worst and making a meal of it finish i'd ever seen which summed him up perfectly

Nicked a living off us. Shameless that cunts like him were 'interviewed' at our final game and actual legends weren't.

Utterly useless

Felt to me, that at Noble's testimonial, everyone around me wanted Carlton to score more than anyone else.......fucker let us down again, which seemed only fitting.

Love him or hate him he gave us some good memories.

A fond and recent memory of good ol' Carlton was his performance at Noble's testimonial...
