Stadium tour review
I went on a stadium tour today. Got a good look behind the scenes but can't help thinking that although it's an impressive stadium it is a bit bland in places and the West Ham branding a bit cheap and rushed. Stickers placed on changing room doors etc! Hopefully we can grow into it and give it some character! Tour emphasises the mixed use of the ground - it's definitely feels like we are sharing this place. Changing rooms are large and modern - only saw the home ones. You get an interactive audio/video guide - lots of history, special feature about Bobby and some history etc. you can wander around by yourself - some good picture ops and kids should like it. The Room East lounge looks a bit bling - very Olympic. I think anyone who has a lower tier seat gets a pretty good view although the retractable seating did just look like load of scaffold! Fella told me the away fans area still being decided and the green felt track thing is being sorted. A decent morning out though. staff were all really nice. A coffee in the West Ham coffee lounge. It's the future! That new badge is shocking though!

Can you colour chart referencing cunts leave this to be about the Stadium Tour.

You've got a huge MINCEY CLIQUEY thread already to whine on about that shit which no one reads anymore.

Thanks.

That's what they are going to do, I didn't notice it much really other than think the run off is very tight and a couple of time the corner taker was on the unlevel surface which won't be great for them.

We're down in the lower tier though so I guess it looks worse from the upper.

In stead of the Green turf they are currently using they should just get some artificial grass in. Would look much better.

Re: Stadium tour review
Didn't the analysts say we'd go to just by Everton and Newcastle was it for revenue, so up two places?

Why do you think it'll be a lot more than that?

Re: Stadium tour review
Johnsonym, we already are in the world's top 20 clubs in terms of valuation. Its inevitable that we will rise from there, hence it is inevitable that we will become part of this elite.

As for naming rights, plenty of elite clubs dont have them for their stadia. Arsenal have a good deal with the Emirates and Abu Dhabi use it as a laundry to get through FFP rules but outside of that there are no major deals even here.

Re: Stadium tour review
I was addressing what I saw as a silly comment on us breaking in to the world's elite in terms of revenue, FCJ. Do you believe this will happen?

Is there a new rule on here, if someone says something we like the sound of no one should dare challenge it or something?

I have given NO opinion on the stadium in my posts about revenue, please read what I type and stop making up meanings that aren't there.

Johnson trying to ruin another thread moping about the stadium. There is already a different thread for that. Why not use that and let others interested in the tour read this one.

Re: Stadium tour review
Food? High percentage of that to the stadium owners too.

Other events? We only rent it for 25 days a season, a couple of cup runs could cost us, Sullivan claims the additional game pricing structure is quite aggressive.

Tickets? Let's see the renewal rates for bands 1, 2 and 3 up in the gods to see if the pricing structure works.

And it's not a snidey dig either Harold, it's very clear we are not making money from naming rights, so really, we are worse off in that regard as Betway paid us for a stand at least.

Maybe you can have the tickets one as a snidey dig instead if it helps you ignore the point I was rightly making.

Johnson,
Still can't resist a snidey dig at the club, can you? There are other sources of revenue.

"West ham are going to be close to breaking into the top clubs globally in terms of valuation/ revenues"

Yep, that £0m in naming rights is really going to CATAPULT us into the high rollers head first isn't it?

West ham are going to be close to breaking into the top clubs globally in terms of valuation/ revenues over the next few years. Already in the most watched league in the world, all that's needed is European exposure and you have a world wide brand.

West Ham i doubt will ever be a global brand and that suits me to be honest, successful in London will do me.

'The mixing pot, the docks, the spirit of the blitz, and, of course, all that, traditionally relate more to East London than the more traditionally posy boroughs.'

Brady doesn't care about ANY of that though.

I also feel that, if you have to have London in the mix, East London would have been better, on the badge and as the temporary stadium name.

The mixing pot, the docks, the spirit of the blitz, and, of course, all that, traditionally relate more to East London than the more traditionally posy boroughs.

Crossed hammers and claret and blue will be enough for me, and I won't care about the missing "East," as long as we continue playing the kind of football as last season, and ideally win a thing or two.

I like the badge. Crossed hammers with West Ham United written above. What's not to like? It looks modern.

As for the 'London' bit, who gives a shit? We're from London! I swear people just moan for the sake of it. In fact I reckon if Arsenal or Tottenham put 'London' on their badge, the same people would moan that "their marketing department is better than ours".

I don't like West Ham 2016/17 much. Cunt badge, cunt ground, cunt owners with a shit cunt, cunt assisting them. Cunty shit down policy, cunty prices and cunty miles from the pitch view.

And people said we needed to leave UP. Cunts.

The design of the badge is a blatant copy of the Arsenal badge, embarrasing that we didn't come up with our own unique design
