So how long is Masuaku out for then?
Looked like a serious one.

So who the fuck is going to play left back for us until Cresswell is ready to return?

Sven- fuck knows how Bilic didn't think it looked worrying from where he was. Looked very worrying from row 52 where I was.

That figures.

Let's hope Cresswell is good to go after the break then.

15th October against Palace? We can cope for the two games until then.

Should have realised that when Bilic said that it didn't look like a worrying injury that in West Ham terms that means a minimum of 6 weeks out.

Well that's good news at least. He looked in a lot of trouble.

Except that they said the same about Ayew

He DID get stretchered off unfortunately, and seemingly in a lot of pain. It was right near the tunnel so the medical team stretchered him off without using the golf cart which just followed them down the tunnel.

You probably just saw the cart with nobody on the back but by then the stretcher bearers had trotted off down the tunnel. Masuaku was holding the back of his thigh which suggested it was a pulled (or snapped) hamstring.

Is it still fashionable to blame dinosaur training methods???

"Most seem to happen in training or from what seems like nothing during a game too. "

Ayew
Masuaku
Carroll
Cresswell
Lanzini

All injured during a game

There maybe others?

"Amazing how much more tolerant Bilic is of senior players fucking up than kids"

How do you come to that conclusion LB?

Re: So how long is Masuaku out for then?
I would have thought Bilic would have had a contingency plan in the event Masuaku either got injured or suspended while Cresswell is out. I assume either Ogbonna or switching Arbeloa to the left.

Think he will be out for 2 or 3 games minimum. Knowing our luck it will be longer though.

El Scorchio,

Dont think he needed the stretcher in the end.

Re: So how long is Masuaku out for then?
For years we have almost continually had 5 or 6 first team players injured. As one comes back another gets injured.
Most seem to happen in training or from what seems like nothing during a game too.

Re: So how long is Masuaku out for then?
Interesting Slav doesn't think it's a bad one. It certainly looked it at the time, and the fucker got stretchered away or driven away in that cart in a lot of pain, from what i saw.

I hope it's not a bad one but I can't see him being ok for the next few matches.

Great opportunity to see how many players can be played out of position.
We really are authors of our own misfortune

From Alan's papers thing today:

Bilic closed by saying that Masuaku’s left leg injury ‘does not look like a worrying one’ and praising debutants Arbeloa and Fernandes.

Re: So how long is Masuaku out for then?
Only seen him play 3 games... 2 ok/average ones and that disaster at the hawthorns... so maybe my judgement is cloudy ... only need 3 weeks or so for a fill in before Cresswell is back.... and for me there's no argument as to who is the best left back in the club... I'd play Ogbonna there if Collins and Reid are fit...

Amazing how much more tolerant Bilic is of senior players fucking up than kids, would have thought the opposite should be true.

Either way Burke should be here and be given his chance
