Don't do it. Not big enough for dogging

Re: Mini Cooper S
The power steering problem was in the standard not the S version.
I've had mine up to 150mph on the empty highways of West Virginia.
Had no trouble in the rain.
Sticks like glue to the road, I've taken 15mph curves (IN THE US THEY PUT SIGNS up showing the recommended speed) at 45mph.
Damn fun cars and big enough to put a family in.
Loads of room in the back as well.

Fun. Don't go on motorway in heavy rain. Handling is not the problem .... it's the noise on that vertical windscreen. Drove from London to Devon in the rain and had a headache for a week. Oh and watch out for leaks in the power steering pump... you can lose steering assistance. Well known issue.

People that can't afford cars can be obnoxious cyclists which makes them complete cunts...

"My wife has had 3 of them and I HATED every one of them."

She loves them, I payed for them, I don't tell her what to drive and I rarely have to drive them. The last one was a Paceman JCW which is a bit bigger but was still shit.

So your wife hated them but you bought 3 of them?

Re: Mini Cooper S
Noisy (and not in an AMG/M series good way), poorly built, switchgear that can only be operated by taking your eyes off the road, cramped, jarring ride, poor economy, average performance, expensive to buy.
Handles well on good roads, looks good, good resale value.
My wife has had 3 of them and I HATED every one of them.
But don't let that put you off.

Re: Mini Cooper S
So, like most cars at 80mph in a crash it wouldn't do much v a Land Rover?

Texas Iron 6:52 Sat Dec 17
Re: Mini Cooper S
May be quick...

But not sturdy...hate to be hit by a Big Land Rover...or other big car ...or a lorry...not much protection for driver and passengers...

Re: Mini Cooper S
Depends on...
Price
Condition
Test drive
Get a mechanic to check it...
Depends where you will drive mostly...
Not really for UK motorways...
Great for city and country roads...

Not much to go wrong, the transsexual next door loves his/hers.

The S model even has automatic chest and ballbag shaver, comes out of the seat and shears you while you drive.
