Documentaries
Need something new to watch, so thought it was time for another of these. A couple to get things going.

Milius (2013) Feature length documentary about the man who gave us everything from “Feel lucky, punk?” to “I Love the smell of napalm in the morning” and much more besides. Scorsese, Coppola, Spielberg et al line up to pay tribute.

Youth Terror, the View From Behind the Gun (1978) ABC News documentary about youth crime in New York. One for fans of ’80 Blocks from Tiffany’s” etc.

And before anyone says it: Couple of clips from the 1977/78 Thames series “This Sporting Land” Sadly, the second one’s silent stock footage, but you can’t have everything. Anyone on here spot themseves?

TEAM INGEBRIGTSEN

About 4 or 5 episodes with English subtitles on YouTube. If u speak Norwegian then plenty more! Ep.1 https://youtu.be/Qhsk3lnlkSg

Basically a family with 6 brothers of which 3 are very good at running. Trained by their strict Dad. Henrik, the oldest who ‘was’ the main man. But younger bro Filip and baby bro Jacob have something to say about that. They won last weeks junior and senior European cross country titles for starters. Follows them over 6 years.

I think Knox is a spoilt brat, not a murderer, but got stitched up by the African who admitted and involved her and the boyfriend for lighter sentence.

three of my MATES met him out in the 98 World Cup (I think it was) ... he was walking along minding his own business and got talking to my mates who were sitting outside a bar ... they asked him if he wanted a beer he said no but would join them for a coffee... spent an hour yapping to my Mates... and even sorted out a ticket for one of me mates who was left without one... absolute top bloke

Re: Documentaries
he was a gentleman, the way he talked to the local press outside st james park and his comment about "i won't keep you here long as you have families to get home to". a much missed legend

Cheers Tak - I’ll have a butchers at that.

You’re about being treated like shit - what Newcastle done to him was heart breaking to watch, as his mrs says how much it hurt him and never really got over it.

Re: Documentaries
Not sure if it has already been mentioned but I watched Bobby Robson: more than a manger last night and thought it was absolutely superb - up there with the documentary on our own Bobby.

Was some proper lump in throat moments for sure.

Without trying to spoil it there is a bit where Bobby says about managers not being fully appreciated for their achievements until they’re dead, which was I think is very true. I always liked him and remember welling up when he won his life achievement award at the BBC sports personality, as he was close to death then, but watching this documentary has made me realise just how good a manger he was and just how much he was respected.

The Spiders Web - Britain's second empire

Britain's change from an Imperial power to a Financial one, and how the City of London effectively controls up to 25% of all global offshore wealth. A proper eye opener:
