Documentaries

Need something new to watch, so thought it was time for another of these. A couple to get things going.
Milius (2013) Feature length documentary about the man who gave us everything from “Feel lucky, punk?” to “I Love the smell of napalm in the morning” and much more besides. Scorsese, Coppola, Spielberg et al line up to pay tribute.
Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLuPXfsCkWg
Youth Terror, the View From Behind the Gun (1978) ABC News documentary about youth crime in New York. One for fans of ’80 Blocks from Tiffany’s” etc.

And before anyone says it: Couple of clips from the 1977/78 Thames series “This Sporting Land” Sadly, the second one’s silent stock footage, but you can’t have everything. Anyone on here spot themseves?

I had no problem with the feminist angle in that regard, given the repulsive way OB treated the working class back then, especially working girls who were subhuman to them.
What an absolute shower WYP were. And rewarded for it too.

watched FOREVER CHAPE, a doc about Brazilian club Chapecoense. a film covering the rise of the club from state champions, all the way through the divisions to the Brazilian Serie A and to the subsequent plane crash and rebuilding of the club. a brilliant film, sometimes emotional but really captures the power of football and the togetherness & passion that seems long gone in english football

Takashi Miike 11:51 Wed Apr 3 I concur. Considering they were a band from both religious backgrounds there were some horrible about cunts about back then.

Documentary on BBC 4 the other night about the border in Ireland was very interesting, sad and annoying at the same time...makes you think with all that is going on at the mo.
Was on a few years ago, but "The history of the national Grid", is well worth a watch...yep sounds as anal as fuck, but very interesting and not as boring as it sounds.
