Are we all doing an Allardyce and writing the Arsenal game off?
Is there anyone who thinks we can get something other than a fucking good hiding?

Not me.

Would of course love to see us nick it, but it's a tall order in our current form.

We need to defend hard (?), and try to steal a goal, any rampant stuff will result in a good hiding.

If not, we at least need to try and keep their numbers down. Our GD might be a life saver yet...

I think we'll get battered by between 5 and 7 goals. I'm still looking forward to the evening out though. Hull trip was a good laugh despite the shocking second half.

It's Swansea on Saturday that I wouldn't be looking forward to... but then I'm away for a week from Thursday so will be missing the game anyway. I would have resold our seats even if we'd been in London... just don't enjoy home matches now.

Like ourselves a lot of unrest at the Arsenal at the moment.

They have for the last decade or so followed the same script..start on fire..bottle it mid season and drop out of the title race..then look like work beaters again when there is fuck all to play for except whether they finish second..third or fourth.

No doubt our hopeless cunts will hand it to em on a silver platter..and begin their annual strong finish.

Fucking wanders.

I hate Arsenal

We are going to get destroyed if we play. Park the bus for 90 mins and try to get a point is all we can hope for in these desperate times

I would like to think that even if we don't play well as a team, our players as individuals might at least be giving it a go, playing for a bit of pride. But I think even this is too much to expect at the moment. God, I haven't felt this bad about West Ham since the darkest days of the walrus.

Bilic will go for a win, no write offs with Bilic in charge

Arsenal are on a downer and need a goal-fest to revive their season.

That is all

Other than the fact that the odd freak result happens or luck does its job (like our win against Hull at home this season where we should have lost 3 or 4-1 ) , how can anyone in their right mind believe we will get a win or even a draw? I admire the optimism but has anyone been watching our games recently?. Our midfield is non-existent at times especially when it comes to defending and now that Obiang is not part of it.
Our midfield as a unit lost us the game on Saturday. Sure the winning goal was from a set piece but that was after they missed several gilt edged opportunities and we could not stop them driving forward which led indirectly to the goal, Kouyate was non-existent as always with tracking back for the second half (and first goal) and the likes of Snodgrass, Feghouli and Ayew were powder puff both physically and in terms of work rate. Fernandes came on but made little difference.

Bilic had us at 1-0 up and should have made us compact in the middle, got Noble and Fernandes on second half and closed them down. Instead they found acres of space with the first goal and several chances. He did nothing to address it and it was obvious we needed more bite, closing and work in the middle.

Sorry I like Slav the man but even with the poor quality squad we have, he is naive in the way he has been setting us up recently. Not sure why he thought Feghouli, Snodgrass and Ayew would improve 2nd half on Saturday after being abject in the first?. Thinks we can out play teams? Gawd knows whats going on in his bonce?. Reminds me of Zola. Admirable approach and tactics but not the quality of player, team fitness or mobility to execute on it.

He needs to remember back to the start of last season and that period when Payet was out before Xmas last season. He played a false nine against Arsenal I think with Oxford as the holding midfielder in front of a back 4. In that period when Payet was out he also played 5 in midfield and abandoned trying to take the game to the opposition.

Can we avoid a drubbing? With Bilic picking the team and tacticsas he has been I doubt it tbh. He just seems to be trying the same things and expecting a different result? Definition of madness I believe ? :-(

Freak results can always happen. Remember Zamora's goal when we were the first team to win at the Urinates?
Or last year. We can win this, but I wouldn't bet on it.

We can't afford to write any games off and given how shit Arsenal have been we should be formulating a plan to beat them.
Of course we won't

Absolutely not. Arsenal have been terrible at times and we're capable.

Trouble is they always seem to save their best performances for West Ham. year in year out so I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of those games where they look like world beaters again all of a sudden.
