When the Packer thing was resolved England agreed to come over again in 1980 to play the full Aust side to help Cricket Australia make some money. As long as the Ashes weren’t at risk
Australia 3 England 0 England retain the Ashes * jolly cheering from the Barmy Army*

If memory serves, hardly anyone turned up to watch the first Packer 'test'.

Watch the first couple of hours... deffo has the feel of the packer 78 series... not two great teams but deffo evenly matched. Didn't we win that series 5 - 1 in Aus?

The Aboriginal lady was not as entertaining as Yothu Yindi.

Sven's a mess before a ball has even been bowled. Poor show. Maybe Stuart Broad has OUTRAGED him by breathing.

BT are crafty buggers.
Everyone with their broadband is getting BT sport upgraded for free to watch the Ashes and then they will start charging in January and you will be clobbered for it unless you cancel.
So a lot of people who are not interested in having BT sport at all in the long term (+short term) are going to get shafted.
