Re: Paris
The best way to get a Frenchman to speak English is to speak bad French to them.

Admittedly, their English is no better than your French...

I believe I'd enjoy it more if I could speak French.

Re: Paris
I like Paris, but it used to be better.

Or I don't know enough good places any more, as half the ones I did know have shut down.

Re: Paris
Well of course Napoleon weren't French like Hiltler weren't German.

Bony's skill was logistics. The first really to understand supply chain. That's why he was successful. The Prussians saved our asses at Waterloo.

Luck is everything sometimes. Ask Napoleon, given this is a 'French' thread.

I lived on Avenue De Clichy for a year or so. My side of teh street was the 18th arr., across the road was the 17th arr. Life on the border, life on the edge. Oui, oui.

You haters can all embrasse ma fesse. Paris is a wonderful city.

Gavros

Just recently you posted how much you loved the Odeon area which is in the 6th which shows you know bugger all about Paris.

However Republic and Bastille are quite cool in the 11th but I need to be nearer Montparnasse for the comute

Re: Paris
Yes Gavros, it’s shit. Too many places thinking their food is brilliant just because they’re French

Gavros 2:16 Fri Nov 17

I'll be driving through SLOUGH later on today. Thought this would be the best thread to tell everyone about it.

Re: Paris
Am currently setting up an office for our new post-Brexit operating company in Paris. You could not pay me enough to live there - horrible, horrible place, full of chip on their shoulder about everything, arrogant, deluded arseholes everywhere you go. So Swiss would fit right in (if his post was real)

French regulators - cunts
French telcos - cunts
French solicitors - mega cunts
French design contractors - cunts
French architects - cunts of all cunts.
French food - shit
Etc...

Of all the places I’ve been, only Beijing is worse.

What was the point of the OP, Swiss? To communicate to some strangers that you're earning a half decent wedge and going to a bar?

Gavros 1:12 Fri Nov 17
Re: Paris
The 6th? Are you a 65 year old twice divorced woman?

you've got to be in the 11th.

Re: Paris
It's no more expoensive than Brussels. Looking at a one bed in the 6th only 1,500 euros a month
