Johnny Hallyday RIP
Sold 110 million records worldwide. More than the Rolling Stones, U2 and many more.

A shame he was a bit crap.

He made a really film about 20 years back called "The Man On The Train"

That was a bloody good watch and he was great in it - surprisingly

Saw him a few times live but for me a bit of a one hit wonder. Que Je T'aime is an amazing "love" song though and there are many versions available on youtube for anyone interested. best of the rest possibly L'envie

One hit wonder? hahaha, just on albums, he had 32 albums that reached number one in the French charts

It's quite funny that most of the pop singers/ musicians whose deaths are announced on WHO, I've never heard of, but I have heard of Halliday who is known as the "Biggest pop star you've never heard of."

Johnny Hallyday was alright. He had the whole of France young and old doing the crossed hammers sign - since 1976:

Plastic faced Belgian who looked like Giroud after an acid attack. Litre de bothered. Crazy family, though.

I'd heard of him from French classes at school. But before today, I'd never heard him. Sounds like he lived the rock'n'roll life. His last wife was hot too.

I didn't know anything about him so looked up his real name. Jean-Philippe Léo Smet.

Big fan.
