Declan Rice
Outstanding contribution tonight.

Take a massive bow and a regular starting berth son.

Pickle, shouldn't you be at a lake somewhere trying to catch carp or a swan for your dinner tomorrow? How you going to stink up the tube on an empty stomach?

'Worst case he doesn’t fuflil his potential but we’d still make a fair amount for a 22/23 year old.'

That's a LONG way from a worst case scenario, mate. You only have to look at Morrisson and (maybe) Oxford for that.

Re: Declan Rice
He isn't good enough for all this fuss. The offer is good, he should take it. He's not in the same league as Loftus Cheek or Foden either. He's a greedy little cunt, and has no loyalty.

Re: Declan Rice
Why are we happy to waste huge amounts of wages over and over again on has beens
(even if only short term) on the likes of Evra put reluctant to sea the deal for Rice. Even if it were 50k a week sign him on a 4 year deal. He’ll either go from strength to strength and move to a top 3 side for shitloads of cash or become a West Ham stalwart like
Noble (which given his rise would be a downward curve in terms of ability.
Worst case he doesn’t fuflil his potential but we’d still make a fair amount for a 22/23 year old.

Re: Declan Rice
Rice probably watched it last night and is trying to keep awake during Ireland Vs Wales. I reckon his mind is made up.

Lanzini isn't getting £40k per week for potential?

Lanzini is a much better player?

Re: Declan Rice
In an industry where one turn of a knee or a bad tackle (as it did with Lanzini) and he is only on basic wage because he can't fucking play. So he sits at the treatment table alongside Lanzini who still receives his basic of £40k a week but Rice because he agreed to this fucking stupid clause is not until he starts playing again. How is that fair.

True - but it shouldn't be beyond the realms to nurdle the difference - There's the extra £52k from the diff between £20k and £21k for a start ;)

It's not £40k. It's £21k.

if he's as good as he and we think he'#ll play at least once a week so it will be 40k and sometimes more

Re: Declan Rice
Surfy

TBF If Rice, for instance, played all 38 league games, he'd be missing out on nearly a quarter of a million, against being on a flat wage of 40k per week.

Re: Declan Rice
Of course he'd get 40k a week elsewhere...
Probably more...
Best young DM/CB for his age in the Prem...

'It's not £40k. It's £21k.'

It's £40k if he gets in the team. If he doesn't get in the team, who the fuck wants to pay him £40k?

Re: Declan Rice
How much to buy a similar talent prospect?

He's said he wants to stay, or so we hear.

Give him a bit more and back pay some of his wages for this season.

20k/week is better than it was, but up until that point we had cunted around.

Paying him less than Oxford, who isn't even in the first team squad (I don't think) is ridiculous.

Re: Declan Rice
Be nice if the club can get this announced before the game on Saturday. It'll be a nice boost before we play those utter cunts

Re: Declan Rice
If Chelsea were willing to pay RLC 50k basic after a handful of appearances then someone will happily pay Rice that, and probably more, now he has nearly 40 appearances under his belt.

Someone mentioned Phil Foden earlier, man city are apparently stalling on a new 40k a week deal for him as they want him to keep his feet on the ground. His contract expires the same time as Rice's does.

"Is he going to get 40k elsewhere right now? I don’t think so."

Wouldn't be surprised if he did.
