Looking forward to seeing Stan & Ollie, trailer looks good.

Steve Coogan & John C Reilly seem to have Laurel & Hardy off to perfection.

Saw this last week. Weird one. Started off very light hearted, lots of old man jokes. Group of villains laughing and joking with the banter. Then it turns and loads of c-bombs getting dropped and threatening to set people on fire with petrol. Gets a bit dark.
Don't think the director really knew what sort of film he was setting out to make.
Caine also ends up sitting out for most of the second half of the film. I wouldn't pay to see it, wait for Kodi/Sky

Yeah enjoyed Solo.... good yarn and yomp....

Also enjoyed Jurassic Park Forbidden Kingdom... that new Raptor is a absolute fucker.... some proper jumpy bits in it... Oh and I got to get a Blue to go with the Black Lab....

Others watched...

Wonder... about the kid starting school with the facial disfigurement... feel good story... (spoiler) well apart from the dog dying that is (spolier)

Deadpool 2 ... absolute RIOT.... loved it

Sicario 2 `Day of the SOLDado'... loved the first one and the 2nd carries on same mould... great characters and some proper unnerving scenes

Still FAV film of 2018 is LEAN ON PETE... however really looking forward to FIRST MAN (biopic on Neil Armstrong)... trailers and the write up's look brilliant

Watched Solo last night after finally finding a proper link for it.

Not massively into the whole starwars thing, probably because I'm abit young but I did enjoy it.

Starts out pretty badly and some of the CGI on the aliens looks truly awful at the start but it gets a lot better throughout

Re: 2018 Movies
Been watching a few old movies after purchasing loads for cheap at CEX. Haven't seen most of them for donkey's years but Jagged Edge with Jeff Bridges and Malice with Baldwin, Kidman and Pullman are still fabulous films. Fallen with Denzel is ok, Primal Fear with Gere and a very young Edward Norton is still a good watch, but I found Fargo second time around very bizarre and not quite as good as I remembered.

THE Predator. Disappointedly shocking. Good kill scenes, but that's about it.

The characters are cringeworthy.

Re: 2018 Movies
On the whole I don't think this year has been great for movies.

Mission Impossible: Fallout and Avengers: Infinity War being the highlights.

Apparently the new Predator is shite.

Halloween meant to be good though, getting good reviews, 93% on Rotten Tomato, it is a sequel to the original and pretends the others didn't exist. Original cast.

Watched a series called Midnight Sum/Jour Polaire

Set in mainly in the northern part of Sweden where the Sami live and bits of Paris.

Up there with Modus, The Killing, The Bridge and other Scandie noir.

Watched Rampage last night, quite an easy watch with a fair few funny moments in it.

However, Dwayne Johnson is becoming tiresome.

Re: 2018 Movies
Saw The Festival last night. Absolute brilliant puerile comedy. Haven't properly laughed out loud like that at a film for ages.
Could quite easily have been another inbetweeners film, but enjoyed it more personally because of the new faces.
Couple of decent cameos from Jermaine Clement and Noel Fielding. Go and see it
