Because the current vogue is Christian schools. Fits in nicely with the story about The VP’s wife last week. Also, see the link many media voices are making with Kavanaugh

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
What's ridiculous is how easily the story is proved wrong: just watch a full video of the encounter.

Why do that though when you can just be ANGRY at someone instead?

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
It’s activism, not journalist. The activist is devising a narrative, that’s not what they’re doing. As activists they’re excellent, as journalists, not so much.

That part is horrible.

But I just want to take it back to basic journalism.

The media, specifically CNN get this story because there is a video posted on Instagram. They contact the person that puts up the edited clip (clearly that is not all that has gone on, just from common sense) and use her, Kaya Taitano for a lot of their quotes in the piece.

She is where the idea of the "Build the Wall" and "Trump 2020" chants came from. I have not seen that come from another source, but it remains in the story.

So it is just lazy, garbage journalism before anything, one source made into a narrative by quotes from the same source, with out any counter check that are basic standards.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
I've seen the way the mainstream, anti-Trump media have completely gone after a group of schoolkids completely ignoring the evidence to build a false narrative that seeks to destroy their lives for no other reason seemingly than that they were white boys who support a president they don't like.

Despite a video coming out that shows that the boys were in fact the victims rather than the instigators, many in the mainstream media cannot accept responsibility and put the story straight.

To be fair, some have back peddled such as Jake Tapper bit he's very much in the minority.

So I peaked back in on this story today, through a search engine, which is how I got that article I liked.

Interesting thing:

CNN Philippines for whatever reason is late in updating the original article on it:

"Teens in Make America Great Again hats taunted a Native American elder at the Lincoln Memorial"

http://cnnphilippines.com/world/2019/01/20/teens-make-america-great-again-hats-taunt-native-american-elder.html

(You can see at the bottom, it came from CCN.com originally, and the link goes to the new version.)

You can also see part of the original title in the story link that CNN now has up:

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/01/19/us/teens-mock-native-elder-trnd/index.html

The first version story does not include any comment from the kids there.

Someone took an edited social media clip and constructed a story with one side of an interaction.

This the respectable side of the media.

If you wanna see the real face of the American mainstream media, look at how they've gone after and tried to destroy that kid on the pro-life march who committed the mortal crime of SMILING when some nutcase walked up to him banging a drum.

His family have been doxxed and are receiving death threats over the lies that they've been pushing.

This is an opinion piece that reflects some of my concerns about how media is operates in recent years and about political judgements in general.

I have answered your first question a number of times, my last post for instance.

"Disaster?" Anyone can use the word. I have taken an individual who tries to insultingly harangue others to force them into his views, taken him and allowed him into make numerous factual errors and then make credibility-mangling, contradictory statements about American media. Rather than any disaster, I think it has been a good couple weeks for internet debate, if only in one tiny corner of it.

I have also further exposed a worrying transfer of one's emotional agency to Donald Trump, which maybe the individual can see and move away from, if even just a little.

This is why I oppose censorship as a principle, let bad views and practice out into the harsh light of debate and eventually they are exposed for the contractions they are.

I do have a problem with the abandonment of journalistic standards and the forsaking of values when we don't like the person in power. If that is my problem, I hope these extended exchanges have in some tiny way exposed and even remedied that.

Thank you Capitol.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
Reading back its quite clear what's happened here.

Cappy has spent the best part of the last 2 years accusing everyone he's arguing with of believing everything they read on "alt right websites"/Breitbart/RT.

Ioc returned the favour by saying Cappy should stop listening to TYT.

Cappy then goes ballistic at the absolute nerve of ioc to dare make such an assumption about him, even if he's been making exactly the same sort of baseless allegation since forever.

Great stuff.

Why won’t you answer the question? Been a bit of a disaster for you hasn’t it.

Simple question on the central theme of the thread and you can’t bring yourself to answer it.

Does it not even strike you as being indicative of your problem.

Well said IOC. I don't know why you bother with lost causes. He has anti-Trump OCD and until he realises what an idiot he is there's no cure for him!

"You are on a thread about Trump. Let’s talk about Trump. Don’t worry about whether i’m Too concerned about trump. Answer the questions about trump on the thread about Trump."

I was concerned before about amount Trump occupies your thoughts, this post, honestly, worries me at new real level.
Trump seemingly being the most important thing ever to you has warped your understanding of history to the point you were making consistent factual errors, you have lied on here for internet debate, and it as led you to make wildly contradictory statements about current media.

Case in point:

"Nor do all the right wing sites you visit
...apparently every other right wing site"

You have some pretty specific knowledge of what right wing sites contain (a lot more than I do).

This knowledge juxtaposed with your admitted ignorance of a prominent progressive site, would again really make any comments you made about the American media highly suspect.

Capitol Man 4:38 Sun Jan 20

Again, mate you can give bellowing commands on the internet all you want. I don't have to give any heed for a lot of reasons.

You have not answered why you apparently know the true impact of The Young Turks and yet are ignorant of them at the same time.
So I don't owe you the courtesy of answering your questions.

Even if I did feel obligation there, I still would not because I have told you : I don't think it is right to do so.

Thank goodness people like your self can't force others into changing what they feel is good conduct in regards to one of the major checks and balances of the American system.
