I can't recall any demands to change the office that people claim Trump is abusing to make it immune from abuse, which would seem to me to me the more logical course of action.

Treat the cause, not the symptom, of the problem.

Trump is objectively a massive danger to the world as US president.

If you still can’t imagine what kind of damage an abuser of high public office of Trump’s kind can do at a personal and social level, I guess you are already too far gone to care. You will therefore be likely to have motivation to support this kind of mass abuser with your vote so you can feel yourself to be one of many victims, and viciously attack anyone who stands in your way.

If that is indeed the case, we do indeed have a serious problem especially if you are part of any sizeable demographic.

Trump solicited a bribe rather than offered one when he said “I have a flavour to ask.”

If he’d asked for a billion dollars out of Ukraine’s treasury before he sold them the missiles, no one would argue that he didn’t want a bribe.

So what’s the difference when he asks the Ukrainian President to publicly announce an investigation of his main political rival in exchange for the missiles?

Blackmail would be more like the power Putin is able to wield over Trump. For the events around 2016 and a the money laundering that went on before then.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
Or so bright to take the one-dimensional view.

Using the power and resources of the US government to secure something of personal value.

One would be offering a bribe, one would be soliciting a bribe.

Again, it isn’t fucking difficult.

A number of public officials are in jail for it. Blagojovic for example. He had a nomination to the senate to offer and wanted to know what he could get for it.

'Trump holds up congressional approved and funded aid and the availability of anti-tank missiles unless you do me a favor though.

Written in the constitutional grounds for impeachment. “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors"'

You don't know what 'bribery' means, do you? If anything, it's blackmail which all US presidents have indulged in.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
And it’s pretty simply to go do the googling work to see that for yourself in original docs NYC.

Trump holds up congressional approved and funded aid and the availability of anti-tank missiles unless you do me a favor though.

Written in the constitutional grounds for impeachment. “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors"

he will be impeached, but the gop will find some excuse not to convict, unless you see the polls continue to shift.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released

That’s not actually accurate at all nyc. It is a clear act of bribery which is specifically listed as an offense that would justify impeachment.

I’d suggest you broaden your sources of information.

Dems have nothing to lose...
Keep digging and finding more and more dirt...

Will definitely make him look more a crook...
...and make him lose many votes...seats in both houses...and even vote him out in 2020...
Keep digging...there's lots more shit there...

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
Alone, the transcript is only thoroughly embarrassing. Taken together with all the rest of the obstruction and his convicted close associates' links to the Kremlin, it shows Trump is totally unfit for the presidency. He is therefore only avoiding impeachment due to GOP senator's political interest, which, in turn, makes them complicit themselves.

Westham67 10:15 Sun Nov 17
Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
Quite a few GOP Senators are not watching the impeachment hearings , seeing what way the wind blows.

The latest election results don't look good for the GOP Senators, including McConnell, for 2020 election

nychammer 10:08 Sun Nov 17
Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
So the call may have been inappropriate and unconventional, but was it impeachable? Most experts who aren’t politically invested say not and the transcript supports that.

I’m of the opinion that it’s all political and has been for 3 years. The senate will not convict with no evidence, so it’s really all about making enough noise ahead of 2020 to sway voters.

Capitol Man 9:41 Sun Nov 17
Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
The question has to be if the gop won’t hold him to account for betraying his country for personal gain what exactly do they think he will do if it becomes increasingly likely he is losing in 2020.

The timing of Trumps impeachment coincides with Stones conviction now an unredacted Mueller report can be released unless Stone appeals
