Canada 3.40

I absolutely agree, the Democrats are in danger of shooting themselves in the foot or brain when it comes to their picks for President and their left is in my opinion lost in their bubble of unreality. Some are talking about another black President or a Muslim or a woman of colour Bernie maybe???, it is all getting ridiculous. The best bet would be Beto O Rourke or maybe Biden though I think he is past it, but white and straight with some charisma is what will work anything else and Trump will probably wipe the floor I feel .
The lefty dems like cortez and new dems like Ilhan Omar even Kamala Harris have to shut up and sit back they must look at the bigger picture instead it seems they are trying to further their own selfish ego's.
Unless they want to turn into the British Labour party where all the decent work of Tony Blair has now been undone and will be erased with Corbyn and his Comrades, they must take a back seat and not allow Trump an open goal..

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
So that done with, let's get back to who has a chance to replace Trump

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/what-moderate-democrat-anyway-n981931

"Progressive Democrats are driving the conversation early on in the 2020 race with candidates looking to drive up enthusiasm with left-leaning grassroots activists and donors. But some in the party believe the early frontrunners have misjudged the party's base, leaving an opening for a candidate to offer a centrist correction.

Some look to a potential run by Vice President Joe Biden or the newly-announced former Rep. Beto O'Rourke as a possible vehicle for a middle-of-the-road campaign. They point to polls that suggest rank-and-file voters share their concerns that the party is moving too far to the left: A survey by Gallup in December found 54 percent of Democratic respondents wanted a "more moderate" party."

Real problems replacing Trump if this goes unheeded. Ie. If AOC and Green New Deal, Ilan Omar etc. keep holding the headlines.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
Or in plain English No recent Leader has given any statement of intent anything near as putrid as that statement by Hitler.

My belief or knowledge obviously little was that Hitler began a campaign of abuse and hate toward the Jews which according to this but I never knew it was already out there in the open that he wanted to kill all of them.
Anti-Jewish decrees
The persecution of the Jews began systematically almost as soon as Hitler came to power. The Nazis established many new anti-Jewish laws. These were introduced slowly at first, so that the civilian population would not realise the extent of the Nazi party's anti-Semitism. Below is a chart showing a small selection of the 2,000 Nazi anti-Jewish decrees passed between 1933-1945. It is uncertain whether Hitler planned to murder the Jews when he came to power. Originally it seems he intended to force them out of Germany but this eventually led to a plan to exterminate the Jews.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
I have not read mein kamf but I have heard many accounts of Hitler saying many disgusting things I just googled Hitlers statement which was before he got in.

'Once I am really in power my first task will be the annihilation of the Jews'

I agree then that I was wrong to suggest that Muslims would feel similar as such a harsh and terrible statement was not started with Hitler began with such a statement.

I guess one more

Sorry mate you have no historical understanding if you think Hitler starting "badmouthing" "belittling" Jews in the 40s. Try the 20s. He wrote a book that mentions them a few times, you might recall.

Has anyone ever threatened you with annihilation, big huge step forward and that is what the Jews were faced with, with less media around and no international access. Please don't pretend you might know what that was like.

People are "othered" all the time, it is wrong; it is not the same as being threatened with destruction.

You got this one wrong, move on.

Night.

You probably can't give the context because the source you are getting it from, only gives those lines, correct?

Mate, he has said some awful and some ridiculous things. (There are worse example out there, I think) I disagree with them. I wish he was not President.

But he has not come closer to saying what Hitler did in the 40s, no matter what you or your defenders will try to say. And saying so makes you, his opposition, look willing to lie to discredit him. That can only help him.

I am done for the night. Just consider that.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
Read what I wrote Canada I said at the start of his evil campaign of hate you do not start with murdering 6 million Jews you start with badmouthing them belittling them.

Just listen for fuck sake to his speech on his Muslim travel ban, the way he says what he says the volume of his voice speaking in third person was any of that necessary ??? yet it plants more anger hate and doubt about Muslims.
I never said that Trump was Hitler or anything of the sort I said I had a feeling of the way Jews must have felt when they were being Separated from everyone else and shown as ' The other' .

Dec. 13, 2015: On Fox News, Trump was asked if his ban would apply to a Canadian businessman who is a Muslim. Trump responded: “There's a sickness. They're sick people. There's a sickness going on. There's a group of people that is very sick.”

He says ignorant things. Just like you do.

I have had people say similarly ignorant things about groups I belong to, I was not chilled more bemused.

It does not equate to public threats of annihilation. You see that right?

Trump comments re Obama

He doesn't have a birth certificate, or if he does, there's something on that certificate that is very bad for him. Now, somebody told me — and I have no idea if this is bad for him or not, but perhaps it would be — that where it says 'religion,' it might have 'Muslim.' And if you're a Muslim, you don't change your religion, by the way.” (Obama is a Christian, and state records show he was born in Hawaii.)

I didn't make the premise, mate, Hairy did. So good try.

"different standards of what is deemed accepable"
What a stupid thing to say.

Saying Jews would be "annihilated" was not more acceptable then than it was now. Are you insane?

But, cards on the table, are you are saying Trump is equivalent to Hitler then? And do you actually think most people agree with that?

Yes or no?

I don't agree with what Trump has said about Muslims, just like I don't agree with you about what you have said about Republicans. I don't blame him for New Zealand and I don't blame you for the baseball shootings, even if in some weird world you had the same kind of public voice.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
No you didn’t Canada, your whole premise is flawed because of the different standards of what is deemed accepable 80 years apart.

We are in an era when even obvious racists have to keep up this public position that they somehow aren’t.

You have apartheid South Africans, for example, pretending they weren’t racist, something the certainly wouldn’t have needed to even pretend to do in the 1930s.

It’s funny watching you try to somehow normalise what trump is though, normally by making excuses or blaming someone else.

It’s not Trump, it’s the media. He’s not racist, people calling him that are crazy, this is just politics as normal, look at Iran/Contra.

Trouble is you either invent or come up with supposed benchmarks, that quite frankly, are utter crap - then claim you’ve somehow proven your point.

It’s pretty funny to watch you do it.

Your statements were not obvious, in fact they were ridiculous. I showed that through actual historical evidence.

If you have had actually enough, educate yourself with media that is not biased and thereby don't make silly dramatic statements that can be easily disproved on message boards.

And what don't I understand because I am not Muslim?

Firstly you are not a Muslim and you do not understand, and I am sorry but i cannot talk to a fucking moron Canada, I have had enough of trying to make you see what is blatantly fucking obvious and you keep coming back with some statement or another to why Trump is terrible but no worse than other leaders and I have had enough.

Well thanks HP. You first part is demonstrable erroneous but beating Hitler is obvious a very low bar to clear. So don't think I need a lot of praise for pointing it out.

I was just trying to counter the helping hand Hairy was giving to Trump by making such a ridiculous comparison.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
Agreed - Trump is just a small-format nujob appealing to fat red necks and hillbillies with a dope problem. No comparing him to Hitler when it comes to scope and depth of evil.

Well played, oicks.

You think most people think what Hitler said in the '40s about Jews is the same as what Trump has said about Muslims?

Or does your historical ineptitude betray you once again.

Which Trump speech compares to this one to the Reichstag in 1941.

“Today I will once more be a prophet. If the international Jewish financiers in and outside Europe should succeed in plunging nations once more into a world war, then the result will not be the bolshevization of the earth and this the victory of Jewry, but the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe.”
