So Who Did Sign Hart?
Evidence shows we didn't fucking need him.

Big name crowd pleaser?

Has the Dwarf all over it.

He's our highest paid player and doesn't play.

Difficult to say it's working out well really.

Interestingly, Adrian St. Michael Castle can become English in June - just in time to dislodge Hart from the England team?

Remember mate, Moyes didn't make the change, it was forced against Man City

...and Adrian did play very well in that game.

Re: So Who Did Sign Hart?
It was never said but I think Adrian fell out with Bilic. I don't know for sure but Bilic was the kind of man that fell out with anyone that asked too many questions about tactics or training from what I can tell.

Bilic tried Randolph and had to go back to Adrian and then thought he'd replace him with Hart. Unfortunately for Bilic, Hart is not as good a shot stopper as Adrian and Hart's kicking is also worse.

Neither keeper is a de Gea or Courtois but both are decent PL keepers. At the moment Adrian is the better and justifiably holds down the position. The time will come when rolls are reversed...

Well put Andy

Re: So Who Did Sign Hart?
I think Hart has been a tad unlucky.

He conceded a lot of goals when Bilic was Manager, but we were awful as a team during that period. Moyes came in and Hart played the first few games, and he continued to concede a few goals although none were really his fault. Moyes then made the change and that coincided with the team as a whole playing much better. Adrian has come in and done well, but he hasn’t been amazing. He’s made a few decent saves but the defence in front of him has been immeasurably better than it was 3 months before. Even in the clean sheets against Chelsea and Arsenal he didn’t exactly have to play out of his skin. Had Hart been in goal we would probably still have the same number of points.

I still think it’s a matter of time before Adrian makes a clanger and Hart is back as number 1. Although I agree that signing Hart in the first place was a bit of a waste of money because he’s not that much better than what we already had

Odd signing But it's kicked Adrian up the arse
Expensive boot

Re: So Who Did Sign Hart?
If Hart's loan fee plus the difference in wages between him and Randolph (for the season) amount to a sum greater than that received for Randolph then it's a bad deal, as, for me Hart never did represent a step-up from Adrian.

If selling Randolph produced a nett financial gain then no great harm done........though please let's never have another keeper who only saves low on only one side of his goal!

Len,
It's no HISTORICAL REVISIONISM as you put it whatever that means.
Loads on here thought it was it was a vanity signing me included.
I'm not going to get into to arguments on here it's not my style.
The fact of the matter is Adrian is as good a goalkeeper as any other in the league and we've won 4 -1 away.
That'll do me.

Re: So Who Did Sign Hart?
You're imagining a time when EVERYONE on WHO were agreed on ANYTHING?

Now, that's what I call REVISIONISM

Leonard Hatred 2:30 Sun Jan 14

jfk

That is HISTORICAL REVISIONISM. I don't recall anyone saying that. I remember everyone thinking it was a good deal and the general consensus was that Adrian.and Randolph were a bit dodgy.

No they didn't.
Most thought it undermined Adrian.

It was an unnecessary signing by our owners to bring a "face" to the club which has only improved Adrian.
It's been well documented on here before.

Re: So Who Did Sign Hart?
This transfer lark is so much easier in hindsight!

Some transfers work and some don’t. Arnautovic was getting royally cunted off on here a couple of months ago and rightly so. Now look at him.

I personally didn’t think we needed Hart but I think it’s fair to say that Adrian has been much better this season and that’s definitely down to the competition for the shirt.

Anyway, we’ve just won 4-1 so chill out.
