Was between a marriage to a woman who didn't want kids and a Danish girl who did,most of the year yo-yoing between the two.
Eventually left and settled down for four years of bliss...sadly-it didn't last.
Highlight of the year was catching a 5lb chub and a 11lb barbel on the same day and the same stretch of the river - happy days !

Horrible year for me,worst of my life. Dumped by a bird I was really keen on ( still occasionally think of her and would love to know what she's up to) . Met a bird that was nothing but trouble . Lost my yellow lab . Lost my driving licence. Left a job , that years later I wish I'd have stayed in. I have a feeling I got very drunk several times ,which I expect was the best part!

Remember being at an England game v Ireland when it all kicked off... my MATE got proper savaged by a Police German Shepp'... attached himself to his groin and was not letting go... got nicked and next day I saw him his leg was a proper mess... his armarni jeans were a right off as well... when it eventually went to court the old bill tried to prosecute my mate with causing distress to the Police dog... apparently it had not been able to work since... my mate is ginger and pretty ugly so can fully understand the dogs distress... oh it got thrown out of court funnily enough

I used to know him,he bit the dog but didn't bite it's ear off.
He was from Canning Town and lived in Plaistow for a while before going back to CT
He was a really good bloke and believe it or not loved dogs

A tornado killed 27 people near where I lived -
There was such a weird pressure in my chest from the weather that day, still feels eerie thinking about it.
But less grim, two big memories.
1987 Canada Cup (Now the world Cup of Hockey) Final series tied 1-1 against an actual evil enemy (we thought at least). 5-5 with minutes to go (after going 0-3 down in less than 9 minutes) and Gretzky feeds Lemieux to beat the Soviets.
