Essex County Cricket Club 2018 Thread
Firstly big thanks to Kips for starting last season's Division 1 Championship winning thread.

Obviously emulating last season's INVINCIBLE 10 wins and 4 draws in red ball is going to be impossible so in a league where 25% of counties go down I'll take a top 4 finish and a trip or two to a white ball final.

Defence of the title begins tomorrow away at Headingley. Thrased the White Rose twice last term, would be good to let them have a bat and skittle them.

#64 SIDDLE in the squad, here for first 5 games until #13 WAGNER returns, I think a decent signing, always respected the effort and grit this attack dog puts in.

COME ON YOU ESSEX BOYS.

Watching parts of it from my office.

There's a nutty bloke in the flats overlooking the pitch who keeps screaming OWZAT every five minutes.

Watching Essex for the first time today. Been pretty entertaining so far! 50 odd ahead at tea with 8 wickets left in the first innings

Excellent morning's entertainment with a proper comedy run out.

Ridiculous that the ECB not allowing Moeen to play for the pears for this one but he can play next week. Mind boggling from the inventors of the 💯.

Now 32/6. Porter 5/13 and took the 6th via a run out.

Can get a video of the run out, it's utterly village from all involved.

Safety in sight, Worcs deciding to bat, 27 - 4.

Foster not playing, for Essex.

Just wondering why if he was so upset and wasn’t happy with the outcome of the players explanation that he said nothing for 3 years.

Until he had a book out

Ahh good old Aussie Sven. Downplaying and belittling blatant racism from an Aussie cricketer.

Again.

My guess would be Warner or Brad Haddin.

I guess if I averaged 115 with the ball in the recent Ashes I’d probably pretend to be outraged about something that happened 3 years ago if I had a book to sell.
Is there anything in there about Harvey Weinstein bending one up him?

Any bets on which Aussie player called Moeen "Osama"?

I reckon David Warner.

Good win for a smaller county at the finals for the first time.
Sussex let down by their much vaunted pace attack.
