Your'e album archives
|
Do any of you go back to certain albums made 30 plus years ago? I take it as (another) sign of getting old that i play particular albums more with each passing year.
Selling England by the pound. Genisis. Argus. Wishbone Ash. Whats going in. Marvin Gaye. Made in Japan. Deep Purple. Blonde on Blonde. Dylan Hunky Dory. Bowie Born to Run. Springsteen
Any other old gits drag the old stuff out or are you keeping up with the kids.

As a small aside, as I'm sure many on this thread may be interested to learn, Nick Mason is going back out there with a new band, Saucerful Of Secrets', to play some early Floyd.
Announced three tiny shows in London in May which have all sold out instantly natch. Keeping an eye open for more.

S.F Sorrow, eh? It's not a great album, though it has a couple of bloody good songs on it. But, boy can you see how other, arguably better, bands were influenced by/ nicked off it. So, perhaps, on that basis, it is a great album after all.

Played S.F.Sorrow by the Pretty Things the other day, son comes in and says 'that sounds different'. He's 'borrowed' it, me knowing I'll never get it back. He txts me and says 'hey. you know this is worth something don't you'.
