You senile old git you can't read. I wasn't putting down Britain. I was challenging what Surface said that we were better than most countries.

As for bring my dead parents in this I think you have shown yourself to be the most base and desperately pathetic poster on here. You vile person. I'm a little shocked even you would stoop so low.

Why are you always so quick to put down Britain Swiss? Lots of countries have done worse things than Britain in the past but so what. You claim to be British so personally I blame your family for it all.... a right bunch of cunts they were too.

Re: St George's day .
Surface did you or did you not post?

'I am confident that England done more good things and less bad shit than most other countries"

And you say that is true? Do squirm.

We're the ones having the laugh.

Naughty, naughty, Swiss - deliberately misinterpretiing my post again.

SurfaceAgentX2Zero 3:46 Mon Apr 23

'I am confident that England done more good things and less bad shit than most other countries. That is perfectly good reason to celebrate being English. I'm sure other people feel the same about Ireland, America or Germany, or even (spits) France - I have no problem with them celebrating their national day either. Many of them are probably right. Not so much the French.'

You'll notice my use of the word 'most'. Also 'more good things' and' less bad shit'. All these are qualifiers very specifically used to avoid giving too much of a jingoistic tone to the post. You'll also note how I go on VERY SPECIFICALLY to note that people of other nationalities feel the same about their own countries and that that is OK by me. Albeit there is a light-hearted dig at the French in there.

So, as we can see, all-in-all, you're making stuff up again.

Let's not even go into the self-contradictory mess you got into and were pulled up on after my post, but I do recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh.

Firstly I'm not left wing. Why do you think that? Being proud of your country should be about a lot of things. You are jumping to stupid conclusions.

Surface is making out we are the greatest nation in the world. That simply ain't true.

Surface

Don't try and squirm out of it you whimp. This is your statement;

"England done more good things and less bad shit than most other countries."

That is simply not true and I've proved that and you are a blinkered, bigot. Admit it

Re: St George's day .
This national day, April 23rd Children's Day, in Turkey is a unique event. The founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, presented April 23rd to all the world's children to emphasize that they are the successors of the future.[1][2] During the War of Independence, Grand National Assembly met in Ankara and laid down the foundations of a new, independent, secular and modern republic from the ashes of the Ottoman Empire. Following the defeat of the Allied invasion forces on September 9th, 1922 and the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne on July 24th, 1923, Ataturk started his task of establishing the institutions of the new state. Over the next eight years, Ataturk and his followers adopted sweeping reforms to create a modern Turkey, divorced from her Ottoman past. In unprecedented moves, he dedicated the sovereignty day to the children and entrusted in the hands of the youth the protection of this sovereignty and independence.
