That Nkoulou speculation seems strange. Torino have just taken up their option to buy for 3 mill on a two year contract after Torino fans voted him their player of the season. Unless they need the money if a big offer is being made.

Speaking of MLS.

This kid who I watched play against my nephew a few years ago looks to be going to Bayern Munich for 12 mill (dollars) plus 6 mill in addons.

We missed out when I said sign him and loan him back a year or so ago (cause I know the club reads this and would listen to me if they did). Never know what going to happen but he is a special talent who has also grown physically into being able to compete at the top level.

That's the boy.
The MLS thing is not such as strange a route as we may think, apparently it is increasingly the path for S Americans as the league grows in profile and their domestic declines

We were linked to a bloke during the week, name like Albiron or some such, never paid much attention at the time, but Vickery was on the radio yesterday and said for what it is worth, that he was a diamond of a player, a left sided of the front three type player, wand of a left foot and would be a great buy

Re: 2018 Summer Transfer Window gossip
If Obiang goes as reported a signing like this could make sense. Although I think it will be someone like Bakayako or Drinkwater on loan brought in rather than a player we have to spend money on.

Villa fans on TWITTER seem to want Snodgrass back now that they have new investors. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/07/22/aston-villa-fans-want-west-ham-uniteds-robert-snodgrass-back-aft/

Re: 2018 Summer Transfer Window gossip
Mendes looks much more the sort of player we need than the strolling wardrobe Carvalho.
Strong on the ball, quick and can pass. Plus ping in some goals.
Worth a look.
If we are interested then hopefully Palace and Newcastle ARE our rivals as neither appear to have any money to spend.

Could maybe offer Kouyate in exchange

Re: 2018 Summer Transfer Window gossip
We haven’t played our first choice defence .... whatever that is.
Presumably it includes Fredericks and Cresswell but couldn’t say who our two centre halves will be.

Used Noble and Obiang as defensive midfielders yesterday to protect the defence.
Still say we need at least one more top quality players to take one of those roles.
Plus Hugill and Martinez need to go to be replaced by a genuine forward option when Arnautovic is missing.

Re: 2018 Summer Transfer Window gossip
At 18/19, Messi was a regular first team player scoring world class goals and basically being unplayable on a regular basis, so I think it's fair to say he's not the next Messi.

Could be a very good player though.

Re: 2018 Summer Transfer Window gossip
Lots of conclusions being jumped to here.

Even if the assumptions about what is going on are true he may well think he could impress enough in preseason and be in the mix to get SOME game time. Still time to decide that going on loan is the right idea.
Probably thinks that the likes of Guardiola prefers to keep the young players he likes at the club to work with him. Like Foden.

Seems slightly strange that Man City have allowed him to get down to a year on his contract

Calm your skins down boys

The word missing in the excitment is LOAN
Under which case fuck him off, albeit his contract is running down but City would want to resign him prior to loaning

Re: 2018 Summer Transfer Window gossip
Financially whats the risk? Always have at least some sell on.
Won't cost a bomb in wages certainly not ad much as an establish played.
If he turns out t9 be another Ravel. We try him and punt him on
If he's great we get a few years until PsG offer q billion quid or we build a dominant team around him. (It'd be the former)

Tipped as the “next Messi” and MP knows him well.
If MP is happy, I’m happy.
