Didn’t take much for me to avoid today, my seats were empty, same as they were on Thursday.

Fuck the owners and fuck that shit hole of a pretend football stadium

The stadium is not part of any community. It's a long souless walk being diverted around a bland park to attend an 'event'.
It's no longer a day out, a part of daily life with any hustle, bustle or buzz which you got attending games at the Bolelyn with the shops, stalls and pubs and houses around it.

Pretty much sums up what I was gonna say...so i wont. As for people saying, thats the way it is, put up with it....well fascism is pretty big in some parts of the world, but shouldnt mean you have to put up with it?

Hairy

I wasn't there today, but I was v Saints, which was a great win and a great atmosphere.

I enjoyed watching that match, but I still mourn what has been lost and how far short the reality has fallen of the promised. dream.

I liken myself to a Juventus fan, where even if we have years winning trophies. and European glory, I will still demand a proper football stadium where we could enjoy days like to day or v Saints much much more.

I want honesty today was a decent game and a win the crowd was happy too, so did anyone notice or think that much about the negatives of the stadium????.

Today is the right time to ask this question.

I just don't enjoy going to football at the stadium. It's personal preference - Not saying anybody who likes it is wrong, it's just an opinion.

When coupled with dreadful football, I find it very difficult to get motivated to go.

I did quite enjoy the walk to the ground from the station last night in the nice weather. It's also far more accessible than the old place - but even that was part of the romance for me at the old place - trying to find a parking space, running down dog shit alley - hearing the rumbles from the ground as you get closer and closer.

Nothing will change my opinion of it and nobody will ever convince me it was the right thing to do - but it's one of those things you'll end up getting used to over time, mainly because there is no other option.

I suppose if you don't like the owners, you also could 'fuck off'?

We've moved like it or lump it. It's not perfect If you don't like it as much as a few on here, fuck off; because it won't change in the foreseeable future. Protesting about our tight fisted board is a separate issue, you can change that but the stadium is here to stay.

long story short the fans were sold a dud.
The board sold the dud with delusions of grandeur - the reality was they could line their pockets.

Today West Ham London is a Brand not a football club there are no roots or community associated with it and its location.

To bring the "club" back to West Ham it needs to be back in the community where it belongs.

And just what VAST improvements would these be? Pray tell.

The only VAST improvement that's necessary is for the place to be completely remodelled so that it resembles a football stadium, and that's impossible and out of the question.

Sold - but a bit on the small side for a club of their stature.

`Serious question, how much moaning do the Roma fans do`?

Juve fans moaned a lot.... they got what they deserved in the end....

In fairness to the shithole, if the seats wee next to the pitch then there would be less moaning. The trouble is they aren't, and they never will be. Serious question, how much moaning do the Roma fans do?

Two yeas isn't long for a ground to establish an identity, and the conflict between the owners and supporters has not moved that along at all.

I'll say this though. I believe one refereeing decision has caused a lot of the shit. Leading 0-1 at Astra (second attempt) and Flecher would have been 1-1 with their keeper if he hadn't been dragged back by an Asra defender who was already on a yellow. If he'd been sent off, we'd have won that game by 2 goals and won the tie.

Europa league at the shithole, Payet stays, blah blah blah. Suddenly things aren't hat bad.
