Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
My point of view so worth fu** all but for me David Moyes has done a good job. If I had one criticism this season was how he threw away a really good cup opportunity when we went to Arsenal as I think we had a good chance with different tactics that day, Other than that he has:
a) Identified Arnautovic as our best front man. That decision in my opinion probably saved us. I think Chicarito is a good goal poacher but his all round play and contribution is sh*t - my opinion.
b) He has improved Mario since being in England and Declan Rice has come on leaps and bounds
c) Has stood up to Carrol who I think can influence a game but as a week in week out centre forward as well as rarely being fit I dont think is our future if we are to progress next year.
d) Sold Andre Ayew to Swansea - a masterstroke, worst signing we have made for a long time, again can finish but has no footballing brain - no coincidence him and Jordan will be playing in the Championship next year.

Other than that has been an emotional season, one I hope we never have to repeat. Feel free to slate me but for now hope all Hammers at home and abroad have a great summer

COME ON YOU IRONS!

Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
The reason they worry about the season tickets is they are greedy old sods. It doesn’t matter how much TV money they get they would still want the st money. It’s upfront money rather than match day money. Match day money can vanish if you have a bad season. Also their ego would hate having an empty stadium.

Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
Of course he cares more about TV money but that's you being over simplistic.

WH cannot make a profit without season ticket revenue and the shirt sales and other extras that follow from fans attending games.

Take away you dislike of my online persona and tell me how many times both Birmingham and WH fans have been duped by Sullivan's bullshit?

This is Sullivan making Moyes more desirable while selling renewals and you see it on WHO now. Moyes doesn't seem so bad after all is the way it's going with just such a thread already....

Maybe Benitez, Emery or Fonseca will join just like Bacca, Carvalho and Dendoncker joined.... I'm not wedded to the idea but I do smell a fucking big rat in all this bullshit...

Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
Paranoid garbage I'm afraid.

He cares about the TV money. ST money is a drop in the ocean.

Our match day prices are more expensive than Season ticket prices. A kids ticket for Man United at home was around 64 quid last week. A season ticket would have been 99 quid.

What do you think he would prefer?

Because I am a marketing man. No-one will ever admit to being sold season tickets but first requirement is good news that makes existing holders feel that next season will be better than last so I'd better buy now.....

Links to new players and managers are part of that story from a man that sold newspapers by making up outrageous lies. Like a WW2 bomber found on the moon and Corbyn sucking off Boris at a party, Google Sunday Sport headlines of you want more...

It's Sullivan's grubby style that he has practiced for years before coming to WH. But maybe I'm wrong and Fonseca did actually come for an interview. He will be our manager next season and Moyes won't get the job....

Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
why would anyone want anyone on a 12 month rolling contract. Just a continuation of the short termism and nonsense which has hardly served us well thus far.

You'd only put someone on such a contract if you knew they weren't the right person, which is frankly a ludicrous thing to know about someone when giving them a job.

Why do you keep going on about season tickets? It's just a simplistic load of nonsense.

Ooops Moyes of course - not the Huddersfield player!

Once all the season tickets are sold it will be Mooyes.

It's just so David Sullivan...

Stubbo.
I agree with a couple of your posts but really Benitez??
He has had to work on a shoestring budjet at Newcastle and done well but Jacob Murphy was it for 12m to sit on the bench.?
He let Mitrovic go to Fulham who has scored for fun.
If Moyes had done that he would have been crucified.
Discipline is what is needed at our Club and Stability.
Just how many doughnuts have we had over the last 10 years .
Grant,Zola,Allardyce,and so on.
Yes I am a Moyes fan solely because of what he did at Everton.
Agree 12 month rolling contract.
He is as good as we are going to get IMO
Who are we waiting for FFS????????

Whoever the next money even if it happens to be Moyes I hope not, the chairmen have no choice but to back him up with some serious lolly to build a team that they invision.

Moyes was playing with someone else's team and let's be honest the whole team were playing like shit.

reckon all the tough talk from moyes is just that. he'd take the job under whatever conditions came with it if offered, the fact he's sticking around what sullivan puts his end about says all you need to know.

sully just needs to be seen going round the houses while season tickets are still being sold then come to the enlightened conclusion that 50p dave is the right man for the job.

Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
Bilic was so desperate for the step up he signed a relegation clause and given no net transfer spend (out of work since). Payet gave him that first season. Payet captain of Marsellie and tearing it up, in final of UEFA Cup v Athletico tomorrow. How much did the mugs let him go for? Should have called his bluff and made him rot in the stiffs, would soon have come around.

Moyes was desperate after relegating Sunderland, no net transfer spend.

IF Moyes turns us down unlikely as desperate, he may not get another chance in the Premier League) net transfer spend will be minimal again. They'll probably sell Lanzini and spend that money instead of their own.

Silva is another desperate after relegating Hull and a bad run at Watford who will settle for no net transfer spend.

The twobobs will never get a big name in and back him with a large net spend say £100m+. Pie in the Sky. They will stick to their Razzle, Dazzle it's worked for them so far.

Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
It’s as I said on another thread it’s all a great big charade, as is everything they do. It’s the number of supporters that routinely fall for their bullshit that gets me down. Stop being manipulated and stop giving them your money.

Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
I don't think there's any way back for Moyes now. He has his pride, and seeing the owners chasing after other managers, he will surely take as a signal that he is not wanted, and who can blame him?

Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
I think it is going to be a case of getting someone in who is desperate (Moyes was Desperate to prove himself when he first took the job) I personally can't see why anyone of any worth wanting to take the job. Working under the Board with all the "leaks" and mouthing off to the press every other day undermines the manager and demoralizes the team. Moyes did a fair job of keeping them quiet (not quiet enough for me) and although his style of football is not the best he is a step up from Allardyce. Would he be able to play a more attacking style of play next season (as he was brought in to just keep us up when we was in bottom 3 so obviously did not want to take to many risks) is anyone's guess. I do however remember Everton under Moyes regular finishing higher up the table than West Ham

im not sure what they're trying to achieve with this meeting with managers charade. just announce moyes as the manager and let him get on with it, enough of the bollocks

Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
The slimy fuckers could already agreed a deal in principle with Moyes, but told him that they had to be seen to be going through the interviewing process for the job.

I’m no fan of Moyes, and I wouldn’t think him mug enough to agree to that, but anything is possible with these jokers. Gold may have just let the cat out of the bag.

J.Riddle 12:48 Wed May 16
Re: Is Moyes such a bad shout as our Manager.
Gold can't keep his mouth shut, coming out and saying he wants Moyes undermines all the other potential candidates as they will think Moyes has already been chosen which is certain and are time wasters. Many will pull out of coming for an interview, why bother suffering the indignity of being turned down when you know someone else has already been given the job.

I said all along these 2bob owners set all this up to sell season tickets and Razzle Dazzle.

It will always be the cheapest option possible with the 2bobs and that is Moyes.
