Got 10 pages to go with Sleeping Bueaties..... Started it back in November. I normally read most of his books within a couple of weeks but this is one of his worst?I can only think it's down to writing it with his son Owen. Don't bother tbh even at £4.

Re: Stephen King Dreamcatchers . Good book and film. "Look out for Mr Grey"
"Dreamcatcher" is at least 100 pages overwritten...
The film is mediocre, at best

His new one, Sleeping Beauties (written with his son Owen) is in Tescos for £4. Bloody thick book too. Can't go wrong there.

Have read the lot and loved them apart from Hearts in Atlantis
Best of the bunch probably Salems Lot (scariest), The Stand, It , Misery and the compilations Night Shift, Different Seasons, Skelton Crew, Four past Midnight and Nightmares and Dreamscapes. theres some great stuff in them The Mist , The Langoliers and Secret Window Secret Garden.
I watched the film of that last weekend Johnny Depp and John Turturro who supplies a great opening line in a southern drawl "You stole ma story"
Someone mentioned Desperation, which is very good , if you read this read The Regulators which was released in or around the same time, what he did there with parallel universes was very clever.

There's a new tv series coming out soon called Castle Rock, which is basically a number of adaptations of early King books set in his fictional town.

"Is The Stand TV series worth a watch? "
No, it's fucking awful, and that was before it dated terribly.
They're making a new one though.

I have sometimes thought this, although I suspect it might be partially because he is SO good at the build up, that the eventual ending is almost guaranteed to be a bit of an anti-climax.
