Re: Allotments
To keep foxes and badgers out you need to get the whole site to invest in a decent fence. For badgers it has to be bloody strong and sunk into the ground. We got some money from the council for ours. As for pigeons you need netting over certain crops, especially brassicas.

Re: Allotments
I had one for 6 years. even won a prize for most improved plot (when i started) and then best tennent.

I loved it and will do it again when i get older. I took up aikido at 40 and practice 3 times a week so didn't have time for the crops but i do miss the the fresh veg. no supermarket can compare but it does take time to manage.

My old mans got one but all he does over there is drink tins of beer ,leave all the tins laying around and has even pissed on the geezers next to him, now the council have sent him a letter and they reckon he's losing the plot!

I got a big one. Takes a lot of work and the lack of rain this year has been a right cunt.

Don't use it for disposing nuclear waste. I know, we've all done it......but it's not nice.
