The Poisoned Chalice of Winning the Premier League
Is Pep next!

In the last 10 seasons only Sir Alex who retired after winning in 2012/13 has not lost there job the following season.

Ancelotti, after winning the 2009/10 title was sacked at the end of the following season
Mancini, after winning the 2011/12 title was sacked at the end of the following season.
Pellegrini after winning in 2013/14 didn’t have his contact renewed at the end of the following season
Mourinho, after winning the title in 2014/15 was sacked the next season
Ranieri after winning in 2015/16 title was sacked the next season
Conte after winning in 2016/17 was sacked at the end of the season that has just finished.

How will Pep fare????

It would be typical shitty West Ham luck if we won the league this season.

Chelsea are owned by the manic money launderer who appears to have a very short attention span who seems to think some mythical ‘exciting football’ is possible and winning isn’t enough.

Man City were moving forward and waiting for Guardiola to be available

The Leicester situation was just blind panic after Ranieri had raised their expectations. If they had finished 12th the season before he wouldn’t have been sacked. They were never the same once Kante left and sacking Ranieri left a nasty taste in the mouth. Since then they have had Fat Boy Shakespeare and the boring Puel. Be careful what you wish for.
Reckon they may struggle now that Mahrez has gone as well.

That's because Chelsea and Man City are rich men's playthings and vanity projects.
An Ranieri was lucky to inherit a team that had started to fire under the previous manager.

The Leicester one was well out of order.

I could see Pep going if they don’t win or at least make a very good showing in the Champions league. They’ll still win the premier at a canter though.

Nah, you know you’re not in it for the long haul when you take the Chelsea job, Leicester got above there station and City were always bringing in Pep.

He did 4 seasons at Barca and 3 at Bayern.
This will be his 3rd at Man City and reckon he will finish on 4 after winning 3 Premier leagues in a row.
And people will moan because he hasn’t won the Champions League.
