is it ok to be positive?
With all the new signings we should be really excited about the new season but is it just me or does it feel like it could all go wrong just as quick.

I really hope this works out because don't want another season of moaning on here!

Has to be our joint most difficult game to win of the season, early doors.

Get a result from this.

Here we fucking go

Re: is it ok to be positive?
All hinges on the opening game, even if we lose, if we put in a performance I’ll be positive about our season

Re: is it ok to be positive?
Football wise it can’t get much worse than the last two seasons, so chances of being disappointed on that front given the personnel and manager bought in are slim!

No doubt we’ll take a few drubbings and hopefully dish a few out, I’m optimistic about finishing in the top half although being entertained and finishing 11th will do me just fine!

No.

Quietly cautiously optimistic with shoulders set ready to shrug is the absolute limit.

Re: is it ok to be positive?
Obviously it's an exciting time with all the new signings but I can't help but feel there might be too much happening too quickly

Nobody would argue that a complete team rebuild was necessary but perhaps we should have been building step by step with a few quality signings over the past 5/6 windows rather than shopping in the bargain basement & ending up with crap

I've every confidence that Pellegrini knows what he is doing & the players brought in are known quality

Let's hope the team gels quickly with the new season coming up fast!

Re: is it ok to be positive?
Pundits on TS the other night (bollox radio I know) saying that Fulham will have a decent season, and it’s anyone’s guess as to how we will do, and it could basically go tits up for us with so many changes.

Part of me agrees. It might well take some time, and a bit of tinkering. I have not got a fucking scooby where we will end up, but let’s hope it’s more fun than last season.

I got back from Ipswich last Saturday night and told my lady that i was genuinely excited about going into a new season for the first time in a good while.

She told me to calm down and that i would have the flying hump by bonfire night.

Even she knows and she's fucking Australian.

Re: is it ok to be positive?
Well no you can not be positive. How long have you supported West Ham.

The new team is either going to Gel, or get exposed in the first real test. It'll be down to the manager which way that goes. Pre season has gone really well, but we all know that means nothing. A bit of luck in the early games will go a long way.

We are going to be a HUGE success this season. IRONS!

Agreed. We should be going all out for the LC this season. No weakened teams.

Top four is beyond us and (hopefully) relegation fears should be a thing of the past.

Europa cup entry via winning the League cup would do nicely + a nice day out a Wembley!

Re: is it ok to be positive?
I'm feeling really positive if not still in shock at the sudden dramatic change of direction.
This is what I was hoping we would do first season of the move.
It is no more than should have been done however.
We have always had a fantastic large and loyal following and are now a club with huge gates to match and second only to Man U in number of ST holders.
About time if truth be told.

Re: is it ok to be positive?
Absolutely not ! I'm not having it :-)

Lets see if we bring anyone else in. A DM, striker and left back needed for the squad in that order. If we get the first one I will have nothing to post about, if we get the striker too , I may even grin a little, we get all three and they are Pellegrini picks I will even become a tad positive.

Of course, I reserve the right to return to being my usual miserable, negative, cynical self as soon as the first bad defeat is suffered. ;-)
