Injuries and lost wages
We had the second highest amount of injuries in the Prem last season (50), which cost us 14.8 million in wages.

"They train to breaking point from a very young age."

Is that true though? There are rules in place that govern how much a club is allowed to train a young player.

They train to breaking point from a very young age. The pitches now are so firm and press stresses on players joints that there never used to be. A lot of athletes also go on to be cripples. I'm sure one day there will be all sorts of litigation around it.

Year on year Arsenal and us seem to top these tables.

It's surely more than just coincidence. Would be interesting to see the data from the last decade. i expect we'd comfortably be in the top three (along with Arsenal) and by a distance.

I see that aside from Liverpool (44) no other teams had over 40 injuries.

The current players belong to the snowflake generation, so what do you expect?

Inadequate training facilities, poor fitness/training regimes and rushing players back when not ready. Been going on for years at West Ham.Wenow have young jack to take over Andy’s sickness mantle now the Geordie lump has only a year left before we can finally wave fuck off to him.

Second only to Arsenal

Didn't we employ somebody who cut their teeth under Wenger at Arsenal?

Can't see us having anything but another injury-ravaged season again.

When you compare our 50 to Brightons 15 you have to wonder if something is not right?

Last year was not a one off either. We seem to constantly suffer badly on the injury front.
