Wonga: Pay day lender goes into administration in UK

Wonga has collapsed into administration.

The payday lender said in a statement that having assessed all options, the board “concluded that it is appropriate to place the businesses into administration”.

It added: “Wonga customers can continue to use Wonga services to manage their existing loans but the UK business will not be accepting any new loan applications. Customers can find further information on the website.”

Grant Thornton is in the process of being appointed administrator.

Earlier on Thursday, the controversial firm stopped accepting applications for loans.

Nothing to celebrate

They will just resurrect it under a different name by merging it with another similar firm

Absolute shithouse firm and all the similar ones are just as cunty. To prey on the desperate like they do is fucking low.

I hope everyone that works for them never works again due to bad AIDS.

Don't see anyone having much sympathy for these legal loan sharks

Bad karma living off the poor, the needy & the vulnerable

Any sort of caring government would have banned these types
decades ago but for the fact that many are underwritten by the church or politicians

Re: Wonga has gone down the pan
Surely everyone will just stop paying now to fuck their cash flow up even more?

That’s what I’d do if I had a wonga loan anyway, some of the peasants of the board will have to advise what they are doing?

Go under. Relaunch under a different name. Screw everyone.
Repeat ad nauseum.
It’s what finance companies do.
