Off on holiday Wednesday ( Crete as you were asking) 2 weeks with no phone or internet access.
This being the case , I’ll get my slagging off of Pellegrini in prior to the games I’m going to miss.

To be honest PDC got an unbelievable good deal, always go self catering (kids grown up and left the nest) as we like eating out, expected to pay £1500/2k done a bit of searching, got it for £700, happy days!

Our main holiday this year will be just after Christmas. We're thinking Peru. Maybe with a bit of Argentina thrown in.

If so, I'll be spending a few days in Lower Belvedere soon - I'll try and remember what I did so as to keep you all enthralled with my recitations.
No sharks with heads shaped like hammers there, though, so don't get your hopes up too high.

Normally stay at a little fishing village called Sissi, about 15 minutes form Malia if that’s your thing .
First time we’re staying at a place called Piskopiano, will be interesting to see the difference.
Thanks for the tips on the books, have Simon Jordans and also a Muhammad Ali to keep me going so will probably need another one to see me though!

Stayed at Domes of Elounda a couple of years ago. It was that nice, shamefully we barely left the resort. Though we could see Spinalonga from our balcony, so didn’t feel to bad.
Back out there on Sunday.

If you want a good book set on Crete, read "The Cretan Runner". Been there a few times, Elounda is nice and Ag Nik, enjoyed the south too and stayed in Agia Galini which is a nice harbour village.

If you like books, get hold of a copy of Zorba the Greek....the book is set on the island and it's a fucking great read....in my all time top 10.
