Just shows how out of touch they are, clearly aimed at the tourists.

Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
Bulphan and NS - As I said before, if you think the image hasn't been approved, you should contact Stephanie Moore immediately as Hasbro and West Ham would be breaking the law.

Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
It's definitely not going to the BMF as otherwise they'd be shouting from the roof top about it, that's how our owners work...

So we know 100% this range is charitable??

Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
If you think it's sad and tacky don't buy one. I'm not going to, because I'm not an action figures nerd, but I'm not going to get all pissy about people who do want one, though, because, basically, unless Bobby is posed shitting on a West Ham shirt, it's none of my fucking business what Stephanie Moore does with her husband's image rights.

And, obviously, if you have serious concerns that Bobby's image is being used without permission, you'll be informing his widow immediately in order that she may seek legal redress.

Your world must be fucking empty if you're seriously worried about BM's image being stuck on a shelf next to The Rock and Superman.

Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
Fair enough Surface if you want to make a difference go and buy the £58-00 Bobby Moore Doll.... that is if of course this range does got to the BM fund... hence why I asked yonks ago on this thread... as I can find no details ?? Each to their own... you obviously have no problem where as myself and others find it all a bit sad and tacky...

Great ideaa. They could do both.

People are so pissy.

NS

Clearly, unless Stephanie Moore has taken leave of her senses, the BMCF is getting a cut. Last time it was 10% of sale price. Clearly the VAT man is getting the biggest cut. Clearly Hasbro are getting a cut.

If the split works out at something like 33/33/33 Hasbro, WHUFC and BMCF I don't see why anyone would have a problem. But some people just love to be offended on behalf of other people.

Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
We could argue with her. Good friends will tell you when you've fucked up, and we are friends of the family. Tell her "Steph, son, you fucked up allowing this."

It wouild have been better, say, if they made a limited number of replica bronze busts, like the one that was in the entrance to the BM lounge at Upton Park, and they'd been sold for a lot more than £58, covering cost only and all the rest going to the foundation. A bit more classy than a plastic doll, FFS.

Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
So 100% profit is going to the BM fund then?? As normally it will have it on the purchase page etc... can't see anything regarding this range...

Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
I'm sure Bobby would have been happy to swallow a tiny little bit of his dignity to raise money to fight cancer.

Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
To be fair Surface even thinking about it.... even if all the dosh was going to the BM fund (which it isn't)... I still don't like the idea of our greatest son being Characterised as a fucking action man figure.... maybe it's just me...

I don't work for the club, the BMCF or Hasbro, so I have no axe to grind, but I'm guessing this is an item with VERY limited sales potential, hence the high price. Say they sell 1,000 (optimistic?) after £6,000(?) to the BMCF and £10,400 in VAT that only leaves £42k to cover materials, design, packaging, retooling, distribution and profit. I don't think anyone's making a killing here. It looks like a nice, harmless way to raise a few grand for cancer research to me.

As ever, if people want to buy one they can, if they don't they don't have to.

It does, though, seem idiotic not to have advertised the donation more prominently.

Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
Unless it has been given the green light from Steph' Moore and the BM fund and that ALL profit goes towards the charity then all this rests very very uneasy with me ... bad taste in the mouth

SurfaceAgentX2Zero 12:25 Tue Sep 11
Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
I'm also not sure if the price tag is anything to do with the club. Hasbro charged £60 quid for that last one, so I'm guessing the deal is done direct between them and the BMCF and the club are just the retailers.

SurfaceAgentX2Zero 12:21 Tue Sep 11
Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
Is it 58 quid? Blimey, I didn't know that. Obviously I'd like it to be more than £6 if that's the case.

Northern Sold 12:19 Tue Sep 11
Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
So £52-00 to the club then and £6-00 to the charitable fund??

SurfaceAgentX2Zero 12:18 Tue Sep 11
Re: Bobby Moore 60th Anniversary Collection
There was another Bobby Moore figure (WCW 1966) produced last year. Each figure raised £6 for the Bobby Fund. I've no doubt the new figure does the same, but it would be nice if this was specified.

If this is the case, I can't see the problem at all.

Does anyone know how much of the profit the cunts up top are making or is there a percentage going to the BM fund?? Whatever it's in fucking poor taste... our greatest ever player and Icon been made into a Woody type fucking doll.... poor poor taste in my eyes....

This is about as tasteful as Sullivan's interior decor. Par for the course.
