Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
|
Fair play to him, makes some very good points about play acting getting rewards and why are Referees letting players get away with it?

Thing that annoyed me he brings on woods every game at 70 mins . So we should know that and make sure he is marked properly for the corner.

I could not have been the only fan who would have welcomed Dyche taking over from Bilic. And so what because he would have had the team fit, motivated and playing to a pattern very quickly.

No they haven't, comma, their luck has just run out this season.
We all know you wanted him as our manager, but he is cut from the same Moyes-Allardyce cloth. He is an anti football cunt, and his team and tactics are getting found out.
All his pseudo 'team culture', 'the group', 'application' bollocks becomes a bit tired. Win games, Ginge.

Burnley have experienced the thin PL squad having to compete in Europe syndrome.

'Burnley are definitely suffering 2nd season syndrome'
Since this is their third season back, they definitely aren't.

I'm making sure that I appreciate every minute that we have left of proper football before VAR is brought in and all emotion and passion in the moment that makes this game what it is, is then put on clinical pause and delay forever more. If it comes in as PL only, I'd actually prefer to play in the lower leagues from that point on. I know others have different views.

BTW, the "assault" on Diangana before our 2nd goal, was that player carded ?

Burnley are definitely suffering 2nd season syndrome as they've been found out; Think Dyche has taken them as far as he can without significant investment in the club they will be relegated next season and should be considered as a 6 pointer.

Dyche is in a terrible position at Burnley now. He thought that their best hope of beating us was to basically bully us and hope we fold. Nice to see we didn't and had the quality to pull through.
They have lost their way when they have to resort to that. But in all honesty I take it as a compliment that that's what they tried to do.
Fair play to him for his comments too.

David L 11:26 Sun Nov 4 Re: Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls It's pointless leaving the VAR decision to the idiot referees. Why don't they operate a system similar to tennis where each captain has 3 VAR requests in each 45 Minutes? _______________________
Like it. Something along those lines would be the way to go.

If we had had VAR for the 2016 season we would have made the CL.
There's no way these even out. We're always getting fucking robbed. Refs don't like us.

I hate Liverpool with a passion but I loved Bill Shankly, one of the best ever football managers, what he did for that club is unbelievable, they were a tinpot second division until Shanks popped up

As per a post below and related point, is it true that the referee in the week chose to ignore the VAR for the 2 fouls on Antonio in the box?

If a player is not interfering with play then he shouldn't be on the pitch.
Brian Clough actually.
Though it could well be something that Shankly might have said.

Here's my twopennyworth:- Well done Dyche for giving an honest opinion, quite rare these days, but respect Diangana was fouled in the box, both feet were taken by the defender who got nowhere near to the ball. The most clear cut penalty you're likely to see all season. Poor refereeing! The foul on Obiang was certainly a yellow but possibly a red The foul on Diangana in the 2nd half was a full on assault. A clear red Both fouls were equally bad & the second one considerably worse than the foul Noble got his red card for Wolves goal vs spurs was clear onside. Poor decision Manes "goal" for Liverpool was offside just as spurs goal the other week was, when Kane standing in an offside position ducked the forward pass meant for him, to allow the other player, who wasn't offside, to score As Bill Shankly once said, "If you're not interfering with play, then what are you doing on the pitch?" To me, that's a very fair point
