If Adrian leaves in January...
We need to sign another deputy for Fabianski.
Watching highlights of Nathan Trott this season has convinced me he is unlikely to make the leap up to the PL any time soon.
Shocking performance by him at Yeovil the other night. Looked responsible for three of the four goals, and badly misjudged their third free kick goal.
I'd rather get the near 40 year old GREENO in to be honest.

Re: If Adrian leaves in January...
He's still at.

Adrian is now the equal to Fabianski, instead of Adrian being a far superior keeper just 3 months ago.

Give it another 3 months and the weirdo will hopefully see sense.

Re: If Adrian leaves in January...
I've never been a huge fan of Adrian...he's O.K - nothing more, nothing less.

He had hardly played any top level first team football until he was well into his mid 20's so I never understood the hysteria about him.

He is a nice chap though...very amiable so that is probably why he gets cut so much slack

Re: If Adrian leaves in January...
Fabianski is a good reliable solid keeper who makes minimal mistakes.
Adrian always has a moment of madness in him ... rushing out , taking risks on the ball.
Am happy to have Adrian as a number 2 but can understand that he is at an age where he wants to play.
Number 2 is a role for a veteran for me , 35 yo type who is happy to be in reserve
I’d rather be on the lookout for an experienced man to do that next season and for the long term a top keeper to replace Fabianski in a few years.

I watched bits of the FA Cup game last night and I have to say the Haringey Borough keeper Valery Pajetet made a string of good saves and was only beaten by a wicked deflection.

Remember the name.......you heard it here first!

Should have their goal though.

Fabianski's save v Man Utd was the difference between us winning that game or losing it ,no doubt about it .

Re: If Adrian leaves in January...
I want a keeper who turns in match winning performances.

Like the Wolves keeper at our place when Fabianski should have saved their winner.

Like Llorris for Spurs in the league at our place.

Put Adrian behind our team now would there be any difference?

How would Fabianski have fared in goal for us last season?

I don't understand why the goalposts are being moved for Fabianski.

Adrian isn't half as bad as some of you lot make out.

Fabianski is better, though.

That's all there is to it.

Some of the silly, pointless arguments on here remind me of being back at school.

Adrian is just as good as Fabianski and is 3 years younger.

We have become more solid at the back because of the Grade A centre back partnership of Diop and Balbeuena.

Also the likes of Rice have stiffened up the midfield.

Adrian has never had that privilege.

If Fabianski had played against Spurs we would still have lost.

How many points has Fabianski earned us? Name me a match winning performance he has put in.

That got trotted out, Trev, as well as FLAPPYanski.

He is several levels better than Adrian on every conceivable level.

Except for SHOUTING & PASSION.

I think many just presumed he was shit because he was relegated with Swansea....

Re: If Adrian leaves in January...
Funny how many people caned Fabianski when he signed, claiming he was utterly hopeless, it just shows how many people lie about seeing players perform and judge solely based on what they read.

Adrian is average and will thankfully be fucked off soon.

As for young keepers, it's nigh on impossible to tell how good they'll be before their early 20's, so we don't know with Trott, but those that have watched him all seem to say he doesn't look too promising.

Re: If Adrian leaves in January...
Trott has made some dreadful mistakes this season, including one at the London Stadium a month or two back, which was very similar to his free kick shocker at Yeovil. He doesn't command his six yard box, unlike the young Peacock-Farrell at Leeds who has great technique and solidity, and is a very brave goalkeeper in a tough division.
I don't really care if the Bermudan is well thought of at the club. I've seen him on three occasions at Rush Green, as well as his highlights on the official site, and I don't like his flashy style of goalkeeping. We will see how good he becomes in the next couple of years.

After watching Adrian against the yids in the cup game, we don't need him anymore. Hadn't realised how poor Adrian is until I'd got used to Fabianski.

Get what we can, try and find Fabianski's successor and start to prepare him for the step up.

"Onana at Ajax."

Ive never heard of him.

However, I want us to sign him AND drop Fabianski, just so we can sing to the tune of 'Whats my name, by Rihanna'

'Onana thats his name'

'Onana thats his name'

Shirley, im not alone in thinking this?!

Re: If Adrian leaves in January...
It's harder for young keepers to make it, no doubt, but he's definitely got talent. He's well thought of within the club and the England set up, with scouts from both the Manchester teams as well as others watching him recently too. If we all based our opinions on a few games then Arnie would've been dumped a year ago.
