Javier Hernandez wanted by Besiktas in “very likely” exit

West Ham United are thought to be actively looking for a new striker in January as Manuel Pellegrini continues to reshape his squad.

The Hammers already have the likes of Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez, Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll to lead the line, however, it appears that one of those men could be about to leave the London Stadium.

According to reports in Turkey, Fanatik are claiming that Besiktas are very interested in taking the Mexico international and are thought to be in talks with his representatives about a move.

It is understood that those talks are progressing in a positive fashion, with the Istanbul outfit keen on taking Chicharito on a loan deal for the second half of the season.

And, it is believed a move is ‘very likely’, as long as West Ham do not take a ‘hard stance’ about the situation.

The Mexican has struggled to get game-time under Pellegrini this season, however, he did find the back of the net against Burnley last weekend, so may start to force his way into the first-team on a regular basis.

It remains to be seen what stance the Hammers take on a possible move but West Ham will likely need to have another striker in place before considering to allow Hernandez to leave.

Whether the Irons will want to lose Chicharito on a temporary deal, or would rather offload him permanently could be what makes a deal harder for Besiktas to complete.

Re: Chicharito on his way?
We've very rarely used him correctly at West Ham, mainly because Arnie has taken the lone spot up top and defensively we are not good enough to play 2 out and out strikers. I think as well he the kind of player / striker that needs a run of games and again he's not had it.

I think his head has dropped and at times recently there has been a lack of effort but in his defense i would suggest he was made some big promises when he joined and from a distance it does not look like they have been kept.

Re: Chicharito on his way?
It seems to me that those who rubbish Hernandez, do so because he is no good playing the lone striker, foraging around for scraps off the back of a 'defence-focused, hoof it upfield when you can' style of play.
Never has the word 'style' be less appropriate, I might add.

Well, WHY THE FUCK does anyone want to see us adopting those tactics??
If we consistently played a positive brand of football, with multiple players taking on the task of creating chances (which we DO have the troops for), a player like Hernandez will FLOURISH.
The boy is a fucking FERRARI, and we've been using him to go down to Sainsbury's on a Saturday morning.
Let's get him out on the fucking racetrack!

Oh, and for those suggesting we retain Perez instead of Hernandez ............ KING HELL!!!

Re: Chicharito on his way?
With all the dross and dead wood in the squad, you'd think a genuine quality goalscorer who isn't completely crocked would be quite far down the list of people to get rid of. Not at West Ham United! Carroll, you stay on the treatment table mate. Perez, you continue being tidy but completely ineffective. Pea, your ability to score a goal out of nowhere from a half chance and genuine goalscoring credentials have to place at the London Stadium! Fuck off!

You go a bit mincey when you get pulled up on something B.

Funny how some posters react to a bit of sarcasm, yours is tinged with an embarrassment of yourself it seems hence you are now failing with some sort of trying to be intellectual submissive tripe.

Thought you had more to you tbh B.

You have a good weekend yourself when you finally toddle off of here.

Yeah toddle off B, next time try and tell people NEW info it's called good input that way you'll come across as knowledgeable like you want instead of a Jonny come lately bore off with your info.

If you really did your research on here you'd see me and Willtell only have the Brexit thread we sort of agree on and that's only because of the remain dickheads waffling on and not excepting the democratic result.

Is Willtell banned then ? What for ?

Other than being a tedious cunt, that is. Mind you, if we're banning people for that...

"You've stooped to try and play the multiple poster card when mugged off B."

What are you going on about? I suggested that you seem to be missing your regular sparring partner, Willtell, since he has been banned.

I'm not quite sure how anyone can be 'mugged off' on an internet forum though, but if that's what gives your life a purpose then feel free to keep telling yourself that.

have a lovely weekend side.

Sven

unfortunately that market has started to contract quite a bit, the clubs are no longer enjoying the same financial backing from the sports ministry that they had and the rules on the amount of foreign players have been changed i believe.

You've stooped to try and play the multiple poster card when mugged off B.

Lame & weak really, you've even got the best bottle job in Gavlar on here trying to back you up when you get a bit testy by thinking you've been clever.

Re: Chicharito on his way?
Wasted a proper finisher by not having a team that plays to his strengths and hardly ever playing him. Thought he'd do better in a Pellegrini team but our midfield has been woeful at times and we need more from a frontman to cover for weaknesses elsewhere.
Who are we going to get thats better, available and not going to be another massive waste of money?
