Asia Bibi
“UK refuses to give #AsiaBibi asylum for fear of Muslim backlash.’

If you had any question about who has the power in the UK, I think this just answered the question.

Gutless cowards.

Agreed. In my lifetime they (all) seemed to have morphed from entities that stood for something into entities that don't stand for something.

People end up choosing for the least bad option, rather than the best one.

Re: Asia Bibi
India has around 28 million Christians, the third largest religion followed after Hinduism and Islam, and culturally Bibi and her family would fit in much better than in a Western Christian country.

Re: Asia Bibi
You'd get v v little response from Muslims in London. The ones in some of the backwaters up north e.g. Blackburn, tend to be far more parochial... just like the far right up north.

Personally I think we should have a referendum for whether to give this woman asylum... everyone who votes no, we then swap them and they get to live in Pakistan and this woman comes here safely.

Win win!

Re: Asia Bibi
It strikes me that this is just a convenient excuse not to give asylum to somebody who brings no benefit to the country. Given the whole post Brexit rhetoric of stopping immigration, to give it to somebody who would contribute nothing to the country and piss off another power when we want to do non-EU deals just to make us feel good about ourselves seems ridiculous.

I also find it hilarious that an American right wing magazine is advocating asylum to Britain while at the same time advocating building a "beautiful" wall to keep immigrants out of their own country.

If they are so outraged, why are they not campaigning to give Asia Bibi asylum in America? Oh yeah, it's because they dont want her...

The infowars continue...
