West Ham, Crystal Palace and Everton discover Gabriel Barbosa's asking price

West Ham United have been linked with a January move for Inter Milan forward Gabriel Barbosa.

The Irons are short of options out wide following an injury to Andriy Yarmolenko against Tottenham Hotspur last month which is set to keep him out of action for the majority of what's left of the season.

Robert Snodgrass and Grady Diagana can operate on the flanks, but neither have scored a Premier League goal thus far and that could tempt manager Manuel Pellegrini to seek reinforcements once the transfer window reopens.

A deal for former Arsenal and Manchester City playmaker Samir Nasri has been touted.

On Monday the Evening Standard have reported that the former France international was undergoing a medical with the Hammers in view to signing a contract worth £80,000-a-week which would come into affect in January and run to the end of the season.

Whether this one will get over the line remains to be seen, but reports in Brazil claim the east London outfit are on the trail of Barbosa.

Once regarded as the future of the national team alongside Gabriel Jesus, the 22-year-old's stock has fallen considerably since leaving Santos to join Inter in the summer of 2016.

Following one goal in nine Serie A appearances he was loaned out to Benfica where things didn't improve and he headed back to Vila Belmiro on a one-year deal which expires in January.

His form at Santos in 2018 - 16 goals in 32 league games - is said to have alerted the Hammers.

According to Goal Brazil , West Ham, Everton and London rivals Crystal Palace have all been in talks with Gabriel’s influential agent Kia Joorabchian ahead of the January transfer window, while Sport Mediaset have claimed there is a concrete offer on the table from the Irons.

Any deal will have to be a permanent one as UOL are reporting that Inter are not interested in another loan agreement and will listen to offers of £26 million for the talented winger.
