MANCHESTER CITY vs EVERTON (1230 ko)
Hell hath no fury as a champion scorned. Perhaps Chelsea needed to beat Man City last week to maintain interest in the title race, but for the first time for ages City go into a weekend not atop the division. Aguero may be back from injury, as could de Bruyne. Be afraid, Everton, this City team is out to regain top spot. A chance for us to overtake Everton. Home win.

CRYSTAL PALACE vs LEICESTER CITY
The beaked one is not entirely without justification when he laments his side’s poor fortune in recent games. But he will know better than most that an inability to score and eight defeats in their last 11 outings spells menace for both himself and his team. Leicester have generally been reassuring solid of late and hard to beat. Draw.

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN vs NEWCASTLE UNITED
Huddersfield are trying ever so hard in what was always going to be another long battle against relegation. They will fancy their chances of getting at least a point today from opposition that has also lacked top-tier investment in playing staff. A definite six-pointer, and a hard-fought and possibly hard to watch encounter. Draw.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs BURNLEY
Spurs will doubtless still be full of themselves after failing to lose at the Camp Nou. Burnley offer less glamourous opposition, and the home side will have to find both the energy and commitment to overcome a stubborn Burnley side who will want to regain their form and keep out of the bottom three. Home win.

WATFORD vs CARDIFF CITY
Watford’s early-season defiance of gravity has given way to a sharp descent of the league table, while Cardiff somehow find themselves in 14th spot. But the Bluebirds haven’t been great on their travels, which Watford may capitalise on this afternoon. Home win.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs BOURNEMOUTH
Both sides made blistering starts to the season. The hosts have arrested a disturbing blip that saw them lose five of their last eight games. The force is back with them after two consecutive victories. No such blip has yet affected Bournemouth, who continue their extraordinary Premier League journey. For the neutral, this is probably the pick of the 3.00pm kick-offs. Draw.

FULHAM vs WEST HAM UNITED (1730 ko)
Pellegrini’s attacking philosophy and the best squad we’ve had for years has started to pay dividends with three consecutive victories that have been a joy to watch. Fulham are yet to keep a clean sheet this season and it will take more than promises of pizza to change that. Ranieri is still enjoying his honeymoon and despite Fulham’s lowly league place, they will present tough opposition. It will be interesting to see how Andy Carroll and Chicharito lead the line if we start with two up front. There’s a gut feeling that this combination could be rather effective. Away win.
