Agree that El Camino feel like something is missing - but it is still a must-watch for BB fans. I didn't particularly need another BB fix as Better Call Saul more-than-adequately does that job, so El Camino was just a nice extra little treat. I wouldn't be surprised if they did a Jessie spin-off series. Not sure that would be a great idea though.

Watch Untouchable.

Or the original French title "The Intouchables".

It's the original (and better in every way) version of that film.

It's amazing.

I saw a brilliant new documentary this weekend called The Street. It was shot over the course of four years and is about the gentrification of Hoxton St in Hackney.

Fucking interesting if a bit depressing.

Re: 2019 Movies
There ain't half some thick pricks on here if they think mentioning that Jimmy Hoffa died is a spoiler to the film The Irishman - it's like saying mentioning the boat sinks at the end of Titanic - or the Germans lose the war in a WW1/2 drama.

you thick arseholes

to be fair - the movie doesn't even try to tackle the subject of ambiguity over his "disappearence" - but the fact remains its based on TRUE EVENTS - so maybe read a book?

in other news

Joker is fucking sublime - amazing total acting by Phoenix - and on point cinematography by the team that brought you The Hangover.

I watched El Camino a second time as the Mrs wanted to watch it and found it better that time. I know what people are saying as it seemed like something was missing but it is what it is.

Not 2019 but watched "The Upside" 2017 last night and loved it.
Bryan Cranston is so good as he was in Breaking Bad.

Re: 2019 Movies
Girl at work preferred BCS to BB.

I never gave it a go, as I was one of the not many who didn't go overboard on BB and found it average.

Manuel 11:54 Mon Oct 14
Re: 2019 Movies
Is BCS definitely worth watching?

Re: 2019 Movies
I suppose El Camino gives proper closure to Breaking Bad and was watchable but would rather have had a series of Better call Saul this year instead.

Re: 2019 Movies
If you're a BB fan them it would not be possible to not enjoy El Camino, but Gilligan played it pretty safe and wasn't too adventurous imo, was hoping to more of the old cast for one, it was pretty much just another episode or 2 to season 5.

Re: 2019 Movies
Yeah, I felt that same about El Camino.

It wasn't THAT bad, but not being excellent like the series made it disappointing.

Watched Joker friday night and agree its absolutely amazing, seemed slow but i was busting for a piss for most of it and just couldnt take my eyes off of it. Phoenix has to be nailed on for the Oscar

Watched El Camino last night and was very disappointed by it, 2 hours of not much really happening, just seemed like an extended post credits scene to make sure Jessie got his happy ending

Re: 2019 Movies
It was boring. Slow, boring and highly miserable. Vastly overrated too. A lot of pretentious people are delving deep into the film and saying shit like “If you don’t enjoy it you probably don’t ‘get’ it.”

No, it was just slow, boring and overrated. It’s called an opinion. In fairness, those who love it probably have a better film intellect than me as I my attention span peaks with the likes of Uncle Buck.

Are the super cool dudes pretending it was boring ?
