Fisherman's Friend. Absolute rubbish. Full of cliche and ham. Has Daniel Mays in it. Noel Clarke's American is risible.

Quite enjoyable actually, nonetheless.

Everybody Knows is worth a watch

Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Ricardo Darin

Three heavyweight actors plus a pretty shit hot director... Asghar Farhadi

Saw Cold Pursuit tonight. Enjoyed it, but they inserted too many moments of dark humour into it which I felt ruined the film.

I’m still shocked at how bad Serenity was, the trailer was brilliant though and sold the film as though it was gonna be really good. Proper shit film.

Just watched Bohemian Rhapsody. Kind of enjoyed it but it was definitely held back by being squeezed into a 12a cert. The Box Office suggests otherwise.

I really enjoyed Green Book, though Mahershala Ali always seems wooden to me.

Just watching creed 2, its a pretty basic movie, switch your brain off and watch it but i cannot get my head around how they thought people would buy michael B Jordan as the heavyweight champion, he’s a middleweight at best

These have probably been mentioned on here before but if not...Although not films I cant recommend "Escape at Dannemara" 8.5/10 and especially "Sharp Objects" which is magnificent 9/10 highly enough. Both are 7-8 part series and although not quite of the same quality "the Night of" 7/10 wasnt too shabby either

Re: 2019 Movies
Captain Marvel is an enjoyable superhero romp. The first thirty seconds will have you welling up and the post credits scene will make you all moist for that big conclusion in seven weeks time. In between the two it's a bit of a rush job; squeezing in an origin, a whole new alien race and character arc and still inserting her into the current storyline and the central story feels a bit muddled. The de-ageing on Sam Jackson and Clark Gregg is quite amazing - after the initial shock of seeing Jules Winfield minus the soul-glo you never notice it's CGI again. Lots of loving nods to 90s tropes and a cracking soundtrack an' all.

Just watched Mary Queen of Scots.
Never realised there were that many black people in Elizabethan England and Scotland. And one of Elizabeth's ladies in waiting was Chinese!

ns - You said before recently that you won't watch tv series as you don't have enough and you will wait until you are in an oap home, but you seem to watch films most nights? I'm beginning to see why many here think you're full of the brown stuff.

Re: 2019 Movies
Watched the new Coen brothers film (The Ballad of Buster Scraggs) last night... their take on the American Wild West told in 6 short story segments... some better than others but over all a entertaining view...
