Couldn't believe the vitriol aimed at Di Maria

All he did was leave as they sold him !

The veins in the heads of those supporters were popping out in the corner area, such hatred and anger !

Re: Man Utd v PSG

So agree that Pogba's red card was correct. However i dont think his first yellow was deserved. If my addled brain serves me right the PSG player was running back to his own goal with ball and Pogba lightly tugged on his shoulder.

I know that under unsporting behaviour that pulling or pushing is a caution. But you have to look at the context and in that situation, it wasn't preventing a promising attack all it did is afford possession to PSG by virtue of a free kick in the defensive half. In my opinion a verbal warning would have been sufficient.

However Ashely Young sending Di Maria into the advertising boards was an absolute yellow card for Dangerous play and having been already cautioned the Referee bottled the decision and did nothing.

Yeah, one was a beer bottle.
Actually I don't know if alcohol is actually allowed in the stands under UEFA law for CL games (I'm guessing not) but if not, then there have to be questions as to why someone in the crowd had a beer bottle?

You know if it was at our place again, it would be a big story about stewarding/security etc.

Sven its always the way. Dirty player from.Man U or Liverpool = Great defensive player and lauded.

Same player from.anywhere else = Cynical dirty and forever being sent off.

There was uproar when bellend alli was hit with a plastic bottle. Nothing at all near the outrage when what looks like it could be a glass one was thrown at Di Maria

There were beer bottles thrown at DiMaria it looked like in that corner.
Interesting to see if anything is done

The referee was one of those loose cannons who looked like he could make a howler at any time.
Would feel right at home in the Premier league.

That said he got Pogba’s sending off 100% right.
Load of nonsense gets spoken about ‘his way of protecting the ball’. He takes people out and was rightly punished. Could have had a second yellow earlier for a lunge.
Interesting that with VAR there wasn’t a stoppage at all that was noticeable

I thought the referee had a shocker last night.
If you farted you would have got a brown card!

Re: Man Utd v PSG
The fact that the Man U fans were throwing bottles at Di Maria seems to have been largely glossed over in the press so far.

It's casually mentioned on the BBC website in an almost comical fashion.

There'd be fucking outrage and much more made of it if the nasty racist thuggish West Ham fans did it. Assuming they could throw it far enough from the stands :)

It was exactly that that made the difference, losing the pace of Lingard and Martial, but also a big part of it was PSG sorting their passing out. In the first half they were fucking up simple passes when not even under pressure. Second half they started knocking it about like an exhibition match and man u couldn't live with them.

I'm glad it's has turned down the volume on the OGS wankathin here in Norway. It was doing my head in.

We dont have a lack of pace

Re: Man Utd v PSG
Interesting as said on commentary when Lingard and Martial went off before and at half time PSG could push up more and the second half was a PROCESSION and could have been 4-0.
In the second half without pace they looked like Mourinho's team

Injuries and a lack of pace.
Something WE need to address

Re: Man Utd v PSG
Verrati and Marquinos were class, Rashford went hiding once Lingard and Martial went off. Should of brought Lukaku on earlier, with no Pogba have no chance of turning it around in Paris

Rio “Mr ManU” Ferdinand. Won’t be too happy. Nor will the gentleman of the media. But hopefully it gives them the motivation they need to give Liverpool a game.

PSG just seem to have a mental block
Don’t get enough domestic competition and flatter to deceive.
Haven’t seen much of Real and Barca but Man City & Liverpool are probably ahead of them

Think the Madrid option may be buggered for poch, as their new boss has them playing some cracking football at the moment, while getting good results.
