Saturday football
Just four games on today. Don’t know about this Friday evening lark.

BURNLEY vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1230 ko)
Burnley have at last got a grip of themselves and have clawed their way out of the drop zone. For them it’s been an Apollo 13 kind of season, and their task now is to make it to the end of the season with top division status intact. They should do it. Spurs, meanwhile, have the top two in their sights. Just five points separate them. This game has meaning for both sides. Away win.

BOURNEMOUTH vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
Wolves are three points ahead of us, Bournemouth three points behind. The Cherries have been strong at home, but are up against a side that’s done much to fulfill its pre-season promise. Should be an entertaining game. Draw.

NEWCASTLE UNITED vs HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
Do six-pointers still apply to a side that’s virtually certain to be relegated? From the home perspective, this is a must-win, should-win game and the ardent barcodes fans will expect nothing less. For the unfortunate Terriers, it’s just another act on their long, winding and painful return to the Championship. Home win.

LEICESTER CITY vs CRYSTAL PALACE (1730 ko)
What does a Premier League title do to a club’s pedigree? To some Leicester fans, it requires at least an attempt to repeat the feat and in certain quarters that seems to have bred a sense of frustration at their present circumstances. Also known as a delusion of grandeur. Either way, M. Puel’s efforts are not universally appreciated. In contrast to those of Roy Hodgson, who looks on course to steer Palace once more to safety. Home win.

In the Championship, meanwhile, things are hotting up in the approach to the season’s denouement. LEEDS, currently third with a game in hand, could regain top spot with a win over lowly BOLTON. NORWICH and SHEFFIELD UNITED have trickier opponents in the form of plucky BRISTOL CITY and WEST BROM respectively, both of whom are in the play-off places. FLJ’s DERBY (nod to Mr Steinberg) sit just outside the play-offs after losing at home to MILLWALL and visit FOREST on Monday. For those that are interested, MILLWALL host PRES TON. IPSWICH look doomed and visit WIGAN, themselves not entirely out of trouble. There’s probably more to interest the neutral observer here today than in the Premier League’s meagre offerings.

A Palace win would round off the first half of the weekend rather nicely.

Re: Saturday football
Did Sean Dyche come out and thank the match officials for the win?

He is normally very quick off the mark to berate them when he feels they let his side down.

7th was my hope for us at the start of the season, with the injuries we've had to still be in with a chance of it is remarkable.

Looking at the table.

7th is still achievable

It is out of the question that Arsenal catch Spurs? Ten points back with a game in hand. Probably too much.

Title race? They were never in a title race. Only their deluded fans would have thought that. When everybody else knew the inevitable reality. 4th for them at best

Well fmob, every week I get annoyed with these cunts winning, so this week I though I'll soften the blow and put them in a 5-fold. I really can't hate this vermin anymore.
