Joao Mario blames West Ham fans for his failure to impress last season???
FMOB, after Leeds fans had a pop, now a former player! Would he be still saying this had we signed when his loan spell finished though????

“I’ve been in England and they’re all too quiet there. I prefer the warmth of our fans."

Fair enough, that's what over half the fans have been saying for years themselves, there's even a thread about some West Ham fan who goes to Italy to watch 3rd tier spaghetti football rather than watch his club getting metaphorically gang-raped to death in a soulless ground filled with faggy commie snide cunts with their camera phones ready and a quick uplink to the Grauniad press offices to report on any acts of free expression.

He did ok I suppose.
But I'd rather have a 40 year old Noble.
He cares.

Sydney, if you're offended by that I'd pop a Feminax and go for a lie-down.

Ahhh, should have read your posts...
Good player, but over priced. I think Pellegrini would like him, his style of player.

I liked him and would have him back.
But weren’t they asking crazy money to sign him?

He's quite right.

We tend not to be impressed by things that aren't impressive.

Re: Joao Mario blames West Ham fans for his failure to impress last season???
I didn't dislike him but the potential price tag was ridiculous at £30 million odd.

The irony is he might have been quite useful under our current manager...

Apart from a handful of good moments he was shit. Worth nowhere near £20m let alone the £40m they wanted.

I rated him and always felt he was in the wrong West ham squad to flourish. Under the current regime he would have probably thrived.

P.S I'm sorry if this makes you sad.

The irony.

He was good. Not good enough at the time for the price they wanted though. Under Pellegrini I bet he'd be flourishing now. Oh well. Sounds like a bit of a tit.

I thought he was improving and would have been even better suited to working under Pellegrini.
If it meant not signing Wilshere I wish we HAD bought him

Re: Joao Mario blames West Ham fans for his failure to impress last season???
Let's face it the OS can be quiet especially when we are playing shit.

Mario was a good player that would have been OK under Pellegrini I reckon. Under Moyes he would have been considered a lightweight because he didn't run and tackle enough...

Nothing to do with west ham. Just a general comment to kiss the arses of the Italian fans who he'd pissed off.

“The Inter fans were also crucial. For them I was both an idol and a bad player. It would be great if I found the right balance.

“I’ve been in England and they’re all too quiet there. I prefer the warmth of our fans."

Seems like he's a bit of an idiot at interviews trying to atone for being an idiot to Inter fans and being an idiot about West Ham fans.

Now we are playing better football the noise is starting to pick up but he's only being honest - the place was a morgue last season as we couldn't see Pellegrini and a big spend (for us) coming.

Actually I wish we'd signed him. Last game of the season it was great to watch him, Arnie and Manu rip Everton a new one.

Re: Joao Mario blames West Ham fans for his failure to impress last season???
Does he actually say that?
Or just that he prefers the intensity of Italian fans.
