Need at least another hundred million investment from the owners plus any money recouped from sales of crap players

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
This is complete nonsense. No way of knowing the actual budget until our final league position is known and what players are likely to leave (end of contract).

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
Both Palace and Everton tightened the purse strings significantly after big summer spending. I expect it to be true, but with the poor squad building over the last decade, we could have done with some more funds to get some younger non-injury prone, decent talent in.

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
Lets be honest the only reason they spent what they did in the summer was so they didn't get a repeat of last season ( protests planned mass march etc ) and they will be back to normal this time around .

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
Think we just have to be realistic.

The reason we had 100 million last summer was because the owners had been so tight in previous seasons.

I dont think our net budget will be close to that this season. Even half.

We can forget 7th now and to be honest not even sure if we are ready for it.

If we offload 6/7 players who are also earning big money maybe that gives us a chance to get some serious younger talent in.

We have the 7th/8th highest wage bill in the league and we have too many players not earning their keep.

If we can offload a few out of Hernandez, Sanchez, Perez, Carroll, Reid and maybe even Wilshere that should free up alot of cash.

With the likes of Masuaku, Obiang, Fernandes and Adrian also likely to be sold we should be able to bring in a few quality players and compliment then with some young upcoming talent.

Tomorrow will become the indeterminate day between Sunday and Tuesday until Sullivan withdraws the claim it is Monday.

I'm going to be somewhat confused if he names all the days of the week, though

As soon as that odious little cunt opens his mouth there is only one near certainty, and that’s the fact he’s probably lying, or at least embellishing the truth in some way to big himself up. I wouldn’t believe the cunt if he told me tomorrow’s Monday!

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
This sums up Sullivan

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo very nearly ended up calling St Andrew's his home, according to the Blues' ex-owner David Sullivan.

Sullivan, speaking to Sky Sports show Soccer AM, explained that the club had bid £6million for the Sporting Lisbon starlet in 2003 but instead he chose to sign for Manchester United.

"Before he went to Man United, we were offered him for £6million, and he chose United ahead of us," Sullivan said.

"There was a deal to be done. When he first went to United t here were lots of doubts about him. He wasn't the star that he is now

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
MMG, correct mate. Always knew them for what they are, just makes me want to get it off my chest and others to know if they can't see it. Their rein at Birmingham showed what they are all about. 16 years at Brum and some of there fans came on here to warn us when they took over. They were Brum fans when there, West Ham now when suits, Sullivan probably more Cardiff where he's from than West Ham. Gold is just Sullivan's side kick, Sullivan is the majority shareholder and owns the club, his decision rules and decides the club's future.

Sullivan when he left Brum said....

"I think deep down the public have had enough of us. They think we should have mortgaged our houses to buy more players to compete with Chelsea and Arsenal. The honeymoon is long over and we're at the divorce stage now, unfortunately. And I also feel we've had no support from Birmingham Council."

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
Why should they change?
Very successful in what they’ve achieved, we will never compete with the Man City’s etc so why bother, do enough to stay up each year is the remit until the LDDC or whoever owns the stadium in a few years gives It to them for a quid.
Then they’ll sell lock stock, until then expectb mid table mediocrity, it doesn’t help having a manager who gets outsmarted by the likes of Wally Downes and Neil Warnock but that’s a different argument.

Bang on mate.

2021 I believe.
That in my (and I'm sure many others) opinion has ALWAYS been the goal.
Minimum outlay (with no fee payable to LDDC), reaping maximum profit.

There is also the no small matter of the sale of our stadium, the valuation and lower sale price.

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
It's probably all lies.

Could be £100m
Could be £10

We just have to wait. At least Sullivan has shut the fuck up.

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
Let's be honest with ourselves, they're a couple of cunt chancers who have finally succeeded on jumping on the Premier League gray train for very little (comparitively) outlay.
They appreciate nothing but the money that swells their bank accounts, and are in absolutely no way 'fans'.
Why do we act suprised or outraged when we learn from their favoured mouthpiece that this coming year, as with the majority of those passed, that they intend to spend the bare minimum required.
Next level, absolute and total bollocks.
The sooner they fuck off/die/a combination of the two cannot come soon enough!

Re: Appearantly the transfer budget in the summer will be 25 million plus whatever we can get from sales
They will never change. Dont forget that the summer budget included all the player sales they did plus we had been starved of cash.
