Josh Cullen
Has anyone seen how he is getting on at Charlton? I've seen reports that he's played well for them, apparently he wants to fight for his place in West Ham's first team next season. Is he good enough for the Prem?

Is there any chance of a Rice and Cullen partnership?

Re: Josh Cullen
Rice was taken off at half time v Liverpool
Think he came back for a League Cup game and then was given a chance at Everton once Wilshere was injured

Diangana did well but has been taken out for a while. Had a nightmare when he came on v Everton recently

Agree that Pellegrini has been asleep at the wheel recently with young players. Surely Holland and Coventry are worth a bench spot ahead of Perez & Obiang

Very little evidence of that imo. He dropped Rice out of the team for that string of defeats at the start of the season - I think he got that dead wrong. Yes he played Diangana, but where is the further development? Can barely think of another example.

Pellegrini, like most of our recent coaches, seems to pick on reputation first and foremost. The development of youth since Jan is utterly pathetic, despite us being safe in the division. No thought of the long term at all.

I tend to rely on Pelle's judgement these days - more than any time over the past 15 years, we have a manager that looks at the young players and is a pretty good judge on whether they can cut it or not, and is willing to give them a try

Re: Josh Cullen
Quina is a half decent player controlled by an agent who will push for a move every season or two. Just wait. When he signed for us we couldn't believe how Chelsea had let him go, then he has a couple of average pre-season performances for us and suddenly he is the messiah. A year later he is off to Watford, scores one great goal and supposedly we all look like mugs. He has barely played since. Make no mistake, he will be on the move again in a year or two. Will he turn into a great Premier League player? He has the skill. But I really doubt it. Classic good youth player for me, before they have to confront the reality of bigger, stronger, more experienced players week in week out.

Rice and Quina would have been quite an appetising pairing

Jack Colback is a freebie at the end of this season. We came close to buying him three or four years ago,so he should be considered. I've seen him play recently and he was bloody good. Tough little fucker with no little skill.

Re: Josh Cullen
He has started regularly at League one level when fit. No harm in giving him a pre-season.

Wants to be here at least.

Re: Josh Cullen
Agreed Chester.

He's a lot like Noble, except at...I'm not actually sure, 21? 22?...he already looks like a late period Noble, with none of the relative pace and legs of Noble at that age. Technically sound and with a lovely range of passing, but he's clearly not going to get any quicker at this age. He will doubtless have a good career at Championship/ League One level which is still credit to him and to the Academy, and maybe he will become intelligent enough to overcome his short comings and work his way back up ala Leon Britton but for me he looks like he would always be found out at the top level. A shame, but such is the standard.

I think his contract is up in the summer, is there sign of a new contract?
He was in the Ireland squad which I thought was a good sign.

Clearly isn't good enough at premier league level. Obviously so. You're either weird or a nonce Alex V.

Re: Josh Cullen
I thought his deal was up this Summer. Good news if he has another year - I think he's good enough to play a part.
