Rumour has it that his former manager Dean Smith will be going for him if Villa beat Derby in Monday's play off final.

Definitely has something about him and at 22 will likely only improve.

Given it's Brentford surely 15m-20m gets him.

Sadly it's the sort of signing I would not expect West Ham to make.

It’s been reported that our budget is 30M PLUS any player sales

May have been said before so apologies, but does anyone genuinly know why our transfer budget is reportedly a measly 30m plus whoever we sell?

Whatever happens I hope the centre midfield has been seriously upgraded at the end of the window

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
At the risk of boring you lot, I'd like to repeat my liking for Neil Maupay of Brentford. He's completed two seasons at Brentford and doubled his goals from the first to the second one. He could be another Tony Cottee( similar in size but more feisty and physical than TC). This boy is only 22 and can look after himself against big centre backs, with an excellent eye for goal.

If anyone refers to our previous interest in Scott Hogan and asks what happened to him when Brentford sold him, don't worry. Maupay is a MUCH better proposition. I am confident he will bridge the Championship/PL gap without much difficulty.

Lazio market, Badelj coming out. In addition to Bordeaux, watch out for the English Aston Villa and West Ham

Lazio midfielder Milan Badelj could leave in the summer. In addition to the former Viola Paulo Sousa's Bordeaux, there are also two English clubs from him: Aston Villa and West Ham

ROME - Lazio midfielder Milan Badelj will most likely leave the Biancocelesti team in the summer. The Croatian did not find much space with the eagle on his chest, in the role of deputy Leiva. Moreover he also knew, that he would come to Lazio not having the guarantee of the starting position. In the last few weeks, for the vice world champion, the strong interest of Paulo Sousa's bordeaux has been recorded, the Portuguese coach would like to find him again after his experience with Fiorentina. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Badelj there would be the interest of two English clubs: Aston Villa and West Ham, the Birmingham team can get Badelj only in case of promotion, in the Championship final against Derby County.

Everton, West Ham and Wolves interested in Al Ahli striker, 23 goals this season

Three Premier League sides are today linked to Cape Verde striker Djaniny Semedo, who currently plays for Al Ahli.

Portuguese outlet A Bola says West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton are all following the 28-year-old.

It’s the Hammers who get most attention. A Bola writes that the club, ‘who could already have agreed with Marega’ from Porto, are now interested in Djaniny for the centre forward position as well.

Then the outlet says Everton and Wolves have ‘gathered information’ about the player too.

Djaniny started his career in Portugal, where he played for União Leiria, Benfica, Olhanense and Nacional. In 2014, he moved to North America, where he featured for Santos Laguna from Mexico.

Then the last summer, Saudi club Al Ahli signed the striker on a €10m deal. He’s made 29 appearances for them this season, and managed to score 23 goals, whilst adding eight assists. His contract with the club runs until 2022.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
If he really is that injury prone then I hold my hands up, I'm not aware of his exact record. A positive can come out of it though ie he has more left in the tank as not played as many games as most.

Let's see what happens, we don't even know for sure if there are legs in this anyway.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
The punt aspect would be around his availability and injury resiliance, he would naturally want a long contract too

He is a fine player no doubt, but achilles, cruciate and various muscle injuries suggest that at his age, and historic wear, things are not getting better, Winston Mk2

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
I wouldn't put Deph in the 'punt' bracket. He's a full English international AT Man City and will cost a few bob.

I know he had that one big injury, but that apart is he injured a lot then, really don't know?

Crassus 12:36 Sat May 25

When he is playing, which he won't be frequently
Find someone else, these punts never end well for us - ever

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
You don't think Lanzini, Anderson, Yarmalenko, Antonio to name 4 are flair players?

Noble has had a good season but Delph would be a big uprgade on him. He is a very good player and can play lb too.

another young pair of legs for our DYNAMIC midfield

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Why are Man City getting rid of Delph, an England international who should be at his peak?

BECAUSE HE IS MADE OF GLASS
No more constantly injured players, please

Franck Kessie from Milan pleases me more than Fabian Delph...

Manuel 11:28 Sat May 25
Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
He has only played 57 club games in 4 years, Carroll has probably played more than that.

App asking price is 15 mil. Pell's Man City links may help. Leeds want him back but can't see him going down to the fizzy, why would he.
