I'd be surprised if we were really in for Thauvin. Expensive and were relatively well covered there. Bollocks.

West Ham pushing hard to sign Florian Thauvin

West Ham are thought to be interested in signing Florian Thauvin from Marseille.

According to a report from L’Equipe (translated by Sportwitness), West Ham are pushing hard to sign the attacking midfielder.

Thauvin was in fantastic form last season and it is no surprise that the likes of West Ham are looking to bring him in.

The former Newcastle player managed to score 16 goals and pick up 8 assists in Ligue 1 last term.

He would certainly be a quality addition to Manuel Pellegrini’s attack. The Frenchman plays from the right flank and he will add goals and creativity to the side.

There is no doubt that the technically gifted 26-year-old would be an upgrade on the likes of Antonio and Yarmolenko next season.

It will be interesting to see if the Hammers manage to agree a deal for the player now.

Thauvin is reportedly keen on a move to Italy but West Ham certainly have the finances to convince the player.

They have already done something similar with Haller this summer.

West Ham are building a formidable side and Thauvin’s arrival could take them to the next level.

West Ham: a goal for former Inter target

West Ham has targeted Djibril Sidibé, right-back of Monaco. As L'Equipe writes, there is a strong interest in the Hammers in the 1992 class. The Frenchman had been followed in the past by Inter.

Football Insider

EXCLUSIVE By Wayne Veysey

Real Valladolid are plotting a bid to make West Ham striker Javier Hernandez their marquee summer signing, Football Insider can reveal.

The La Liga club are closely monitoring the Mexico international, who turned 31 last month, as they weigh up a swoop before the end of the window.

A Spanish source has told Football Insider that Brazil World Cup winner and club president Ronaldo is a “huge fan” of Hernandez and wants the experienced forward to spearhead his team’s attack next term.

This comes after Football Insider revealed last month that the experienced forward is keen to quit the London Stadium this summer if he remains on the fringes of the starting XI.

West Ham have sold previous first choice front man Marko Arnautovic but he has been replaced by the club-record signing of Sebastien Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The difficulty for West Ham is finding a club willing to match or get close to Hernandez’s £140,000-a-week salary, with the club accepting they won’t recoup a significant amount of the £16million transfer fee they paid in 2017.

Hernandez admitted last month he fancied a return to Spain following his loan stint at Real Madrid five years ago.

Valladolid, coached by coached by Carlos Suarez Sureda, were the league lowest scorers last term with just 32 goals and are keen to beef up their forward line ahead of the new season with a proven scorer.

Hernandez banged in eight goals in 28 matches last season, but started just 14 league games as Arnautovic was the first choice spearhead in Pellegrini’s side.

His overall West Ham goal tally is 16 from 61 appearances, but he was far more prolific at previous clubs Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester United, as well as in his native Mexico.

I'm not sure Lanzini will go. He was out for a while, if he comes back storming then maybe in Jan?

Elneny is much better than Sanchez, Obiang and fitter than Wilshere

Spot on. He's also got a great engine.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Yeah i know what you're saying but only way we'll be bringing someone of that calibre in is if we offload someone for considerable money beforehand, still wouldnt rule out lanzini being flogged.

Think i'd make that trade Lanzini and the 9m we were going to spend on Elneny for Kessie,
