Near the start it looks like they're about to launch into a proper fight. My money would be on Allison.

Mullery was always a class A cunt

Anyone here remember years ago his appearance at the Newnham Show at Central Park?

Sign of the times, but during the day various events took place including the boys football finals, anyway, the winning side got to play a friendly against n all star celebrity 11. That side included Sir Bob, Mullery and a few others still playing at WH. Never get that today.

Anyway, the lads side had a little West Indian winger, ball skills to die for and rapid. Skipped around Mullery a couple of times and at the third, the cunt kicked the lad right up in the air and got up laughing. The crowd were not happy and of course neither was Sir Bobby.

Hated the arrogant cunt ever since.

Re: Malcolm Allison v Alan Mullery, 1970
Allison was a coach ahead of his time but the truth is he was never a manager and his ego wouldn't accept it. His second spell at Citeh was an absolute car crash.

His only other success was as coach of Sporting Lisbon he won the title in 1982. That's because he didn't have to be a manager - somebody else put the team together and he was confident enough to believe he could improve any player.

A bit of a cunt though but Mullery was a rubbish manager at all the club's he went to. Had a bit of an inferiority complex with Terry Venables who was a bit of a cunt as well.

That's how Londoners were/still are. We all recognise that the other might be a bit of a cunt but we accept it because them is the rules.

What is completely unacceptable is to be a shitcunt with no redeeming features whatsoever.

That is unforgivable

Colin Bell was a classy player as was Tony Currie, Mullery was a plodder

But he was Bobby's drinking partner, so that's ok then

Imagine that sort of televised confrontation happening these days?

I wouldn’t mind seeing Jamie O'Hara and Leon Knight having a sort out

Re: Malcolm Allison v Alan Mullery, 1970
Allison’s point to Mullery was you are an ok player but you aren’t as good as Colin Bell.
Mullery seemed to get the hump at the statement of the bleeding obvious just because he played in a solid way and marked Pele
As said he didn’t mention that he had the great Bobby behind him and that G Banks made the greatest save of all time to stop Pele scoring.

Re: Malcolm Allison v Alan Mullery, 1970
Mullery on talking up his game against Pele he forgot to mention he had the greatest defender along side him to assist him at the time.

Just a small detail.

Mullery's a bit of bastard going on about Allison's playing career, when he must've known it ended through illness.

Vaguely remember being in his new sports shop in kingsland road (late 60s) with me old man.

Mullery is just the sort of arrogant cunt that could only be SPURS
He was later a fat cunt of a Brighton manager who is personally responsible for the Brighton/Palace rivalry
