Re: Allianz Arena
Funny thing is the FA re modelled their DNA on the German model and is now getting results.

No fuckin way, the premier league would do the same. Murdoch would loose to much money. We've helped fuel the cash cow

Exactly the same. Would never have known until it was pointed out to me and my mates, after we’d sunk about three pints of it.

How hard is it to get a season ticket? At those prices, I bet nobody ever gives them up.

Re: Allianz Arena
A few years back*, the Newcastle chairman was quoted the price of a season ticket for a top German club, and he thought it was the price for a single match.

*Can't remember if was pre-Ashley

Watched us play there, had to queue up to get some stupid credit card thing which enabled you to buy beer, which turned out to be non fucking alcoholic.

Re: Allianz Arena
Not really a reflection of West Ham vs Bayern as English football vs German football.

So much better run and more fan friendly there- like most other western European countries, really.

German club football does seem to be the model for leagues that might want to put fans first.
Will never catch on here

Re: Allianz Arena
Bundeslig clubs have rulesof ownership ( 50% + 1 rule ) that we don’t have so aggravation with major shareholders is almost unknown.
