Virtually anything is theoretically possible, but in many cases extremely unlikely. Way back when, I recall Ipswich finishing 5th one season & then being relegated the following year. From memory, they also won the league in the early 60's and were relegated 2 years later, after Sir Alf (no not our poster) left & took the England job. Of course, there wasn't the mammoth gap between the top 6 and the rest in those days, as there is now. I think it's a very safe bet that neither ourselves, Everton, Leicester or Wolves for example will be in a relegation scrap this coming season.

Remember thinking when all that Lingard nonsense was on that no one would dare behave like that or like Pogba does under Sir Alex. Or they’d be out on their ear. If they stepped out of line ... Whiteside & McGrath at the start, Lee Sharpe, Beckham, Stam ... he binned them.
And that Man City under Pep seem a very professional group with no arseholes. I don’t know if that’s the influence of Pep and a strong captain like Kompany or down to the characters they bring in.

Comma,
Players have huge ego's now and it's not easy to manage certain players who are arseholes. Arnoutavic is a prime example in our case.
Guadiola appears to have the talent to get it as right as it can be.He's never going to leave Manchester city for Burnley.
I have no time for Man Utd to put it mildly but quite like solskjaer, seems a likeable bloke but clearly can't cope with Pogba who's a massive wrongen.
People can say what they like about Alex Furgerson but he was a brilliant manager who's record says it all.
Beckham didn't hang around long when he acted up and it's no secret "Posh Spice" got told in no uncertain terms to fuck off.
There's very few goo ex players who make decent pundits.I wouldn't put Dean Saunders in either of the aforementioned.

I don't think we would go down with players like Snod in the team

JFK, 12.00, you raise a good point about what sort of job would Dyche do at Man City in comparison with Guardiola

It’s interesting to speculate how Dyche would cope but it also makes me wonder, by the same token, how Guardiola would do at Burnley. I don’t think it is a given that Burnley would be challenging for CL football after a season under the stewardship of Pep.

Dean Saunders is hated in Chesterfield, was a shit manager for them.

If we don’t get a decent striker in which is a distinct possibility then without goals we will be in trouble with our defence. Will depend whether heads drop.

Manuel,

Man City going down is plausible - a 1 in 20 chance.

But Guardiola to Millwall - that's just fucking absurd!!!
