Babel played well for Fulham when he came in in January in a doomed team.
They couldn’t afford him in the Championship but was surprised another Prem league team didn’t take him on this season.

Ryan Babel having a fine twilight to his career. I thought he was finished.

Sounds strange to say it but Shodgrass playing quite well.

Scotland have no answer to De Bruyne, having a blinder, assisted all the goals. Making Andy Robertson look not very good.

This has to be the tournament when Belgium finally deliver.
Not sure Lukaku is someone I’d want to rely on when it really matters though

Was easy money to win tonight.

Lukaku 1st goal and Belgium to win @ 5/1

Lukaku 2 goals at 13/2

First one already as good as in!!

"Germany 2 Holland 4
The Germans are probably at their lowest ebb ever in international football"

Been watching Bayern a bit lately
Neuer has not been stellar
Sule looks like Frankenstein and plays with the same mobility
I know they are looking to go young but Mueller is only 29 and has played more than Gnabry.
Kimmich is solid but should probably be wide where he belongs.

Part of it is rebuilding I think; part of it is consciously picking the future. They still probably have room for error even in that group. Northern Ireland are flying high but have not played the tough teams yet.

Ray Stewart for longevity and consistency

Frankie Mac, Tommy McQueen, tom mcAlister and Neil orr deserve mentions.

Christian dailly for his song.

There have been a few others but Sandy Clark brings up the rear

Scotland still have a guaranteed playoff spot after that Europe League or whatever it was called.
The thing that England bottled in the summer.
They will need it as they are buggered in this group

Couple of points - lots of Scotsmen in Thames Ironworks and West Ham early days, but the then strength of the Scottish game on their home turf meant that the first West Ham Scottish international was capped in 1959 - John Dick.

And a wait of 22 years until the second West Ham Scottish cap - Ray Stewart.
