Man City v Real Madrid looking likely to be postponed next week as a RM basketball player has tested positive. The football and basketball teams share facilities and La Liga matches are postponed for two weeks.

Sven, I think you're probably generally right about net spend, although it was at about €150m between 2017 and last summer. Their policy seems to be pay a decent whack for talented youngsters then sell them at their peak for shitloads and buy some more talented youngsters with the proceeds. Alex V must love them.

Getting rid of Adrian was a step in the right direction, and getting Roberto in to replace him was the work of a Sunday pub team.

We make our own difficulties. Well done, GSB. Saved a few bob, and hurtled us down the division.

Seen Adrian getting plenty of death threats on twitter.

You'll never walk alone until you make one mistake, ask Karius too

They spent the money on selling Griezmann to buy Joao Felix I thought.
Not sure what their net spend over Simeones time there is but reckon it’s relatively low
For all Klopps moaning Simeone is entitled to play in the best way he thinks he needs to to knock out Liverpool.
It’s hard to watch but no one else has won both legs against them for a long long time I’d guess.

Ag! I did find it difficult last night. Couldn't decide who I most wanted to lose.

"What he has done with that team in that league where the other two steal all the tv money is astonishing."

The TV money split was changed 4 years ago and is now closer to how the PL is. Currently Barca and Real Madrid still make the most but Atletico make 50% more than the 4th highest earner. They're the 3rd highest earner and so unsurprisingly the 3rd best team. Simeone's single championship win is nowhere near the achievement of Leicester.

You know last summer they spent €126m on a teenager. Simeone isn't exactly working on a shoestring, is he? The bloke's an anti-football cunt who actually makes Mourinho look good.

With a Juve player confirmed positive and Ronaldo in quarantine am I correct in assuming they will have to cancel this Chumpions league nonsense for 2019-20 or will Lyon get awarded the game?

It's a shame for Adrian, but deep down he must know he's done the footballing world a favour.

Hopefully he tests positive for Coronavirus next.

It just shows why the big clubs spend big money on a keeper. You ain't winning a big ECL game with old Adrian in goal, but I think most knew that before the KO.

Watching that utter sore loser Klopp get his comeuppance has made my evening. Adrian showing why he is a backup keeper and not worth thousands of pounds a week.

Of course we would be in dreamland even making a champions league group stage but that doesn't detract from the joy of all these old Liverpool glory hunters crying in their beer.

Diving?
Cant think of a single overly aggressive tackle either

They were overly defensive , their keeper is top quality, Liverpool didnt take their chances and then Adrian gave away a goal
End of story

Wish we had a manager with Simeone's passion and refusal to accept defeat.
What he has done with that team in that league where the other two steal all the tv money is astonishing.
